2021–22 Seattle Kraken Season
The 2021–22 Seattle Kraken season was the inaugural season for the National Hockey League (NHL) franchise. They played their home games at Climate Pledge Arena. The Kraken played their first game on October 12, 2021, against the Vegas Golden Knights, which ended in a 4–3 loss, and played their first home game on October 23, 2021, against the Vancouver Canucks, a 4–2 loss. Pacific Division (NHL)
The National Hockey League's Pacific Division was formed in 1993 as part of the Western Conference in a league realignment. It is also one of the two successors of the Smythe Division (the other one was the Northwest Division), though of the current teams, only the Anaheim Ducks, Seattle Kraken and Vegas Golden Knights did not play in the Smythe Division. Due to subsequent realignments, three of the Pacific Division's original teams (the Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, and Vancouver Canucks) left the division in 1998 but returned in 2013. The division is the only one in the NHL without any Original Six teams. Jérémy Lauzon
Jérémy Lauzon (born April 28, 1997) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL). Lauzon was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the second round (52nd overall) in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. He also spent time playing for the Seattle Kraken. Playing career After two seasons with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), Lauzon was selected in the second round (52nd overall) by the Boston Bruins in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Lauzon was returned to the Huskies for the 2015–16 season. On November 12, 2015, the Bruins signed him to a three-year, entry-level contract. The 2021–22 New York Islanders season was the 50th season in the franchise's history. It was their first season in UBS Arena. Before the season, the Islanders lost Jordan Eberle to the Seattle Kraken in the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft. John Hynes entered his third season and second full season as head coach of the team.
