2021–22 Florida Atlantic Owls Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Florida Atlantic Owls men's basketball team represented Florida Atlantic University in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Owls, led by fourth-year head coach Dusty May, played their home games at FAU Arena in Boca Raton, Florida as members of East Division of Conference USA. Previous season The Owls finished the 2020-21 season 13–10, 7–5 in C-USA play to finish in fourth place in East Division. They defeated UTEP in the second round of the C-USA tournament but then lost to Louisiana Tech in the quarterfinals. Dusty A. May Coaching career After graduating from Eastern Greene High School in Indiana in 1995, May served as a student manager at Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball, Indiana under Bob Knight as an undergraduate from 1996 to 2000. After graduation, he had video and administrative roles with both USC Trojans men's basketball, USC and Indiana before landing his first assistant coaching job at Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball, Eastern Michigan, where he was on staff for the 2005–2006 season. DME Academy is a private athletic sports training academy based in Daytona Beach, Florida for post-graduate basketball players. During its first year in existence, DME Academy's National Team, The DME Lakers, reached the National Prep Championships at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut. The DME Lakers lost to Putnam Science in the quarter-finals. Garnerville, previously known as Calicotown, is a hamlet in the town of Haverstraw, Rockland County, New York, United States, located north of New York City; east of Mount Ivy; south of Stony Point and west of West Haverstraw. The Texas Tech Red Raiders basketball team represents Texas Tech University in basketball. Texas Tech competes in NCAA Division I, and has been a charter member of the Big 12 Conference since its first season in 1996.
