2020 Pittsburgh Panthers Men's Soccer Team
The 2020 Pittsburgh Panthers men's soccer team represents University of Pittsburgh during the 2020 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. The Panthers are led by head coach Jay Vidovich, in his fifth season. They play home games at Ambrose Urbanic Field. This is the team's 67th season playing organized men's college soccer and their 8th playing in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The teams' 2020 season was significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, which curtailed the fall season and caused the NCAA Tournament to be played in spring 2021. The ACC was one of the only two conferences in men's soccer to play in the fall of 2020. The ACC also held a mini-season during the spring of 2021. Jay Vidovich
Jay Vidovich is the head coach of the University of Pittsburgh men's soccer team. He is the former coach of the Portland Timbers 2 of USL Pro and formerly served as Wake Forest University's head soccer coach from 1994–2014, posting a 225–87–31 record during that span, including a 60–7–4 mark from 2012 through 2014. He was named the NCAA Men's Division 1 "Coach of the Year" by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) in both 2007 and 2008. During those seasons, Wake Forest won the 2007 NCAA D1 Championship over Ohio State University and finished with a 22–2–1 record, and were ranked #1 for most of 2008, before falling in the Final Four to North Carolina. During the 2009 tournament, the Deamon Deacons fell to the eventual national champion Virginia Cavaliers. The 2019 NC State Wolfpack men's soccer team represented North Carolina State University during the 2019 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. The Wolfpack were led by head coach George Kiefer, in his third season. Background The 2018 NC State men's soccer team finished the season with a 10–7–3 overall record and a 2–4–2 ACC record. Edward Kizza
Edward Kizza (born 17 December 1998) is a Ugandan professional footballer who plays as a forward for Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the USL Championship. Career Born in Kampala, Kizza moved to the United States with his parents when he was 14. He spent his first year of high school at Carlisle School before joining the Montverde Academy near Orlando, Florida. The FIU Panthers men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of Florida International University. As of the upcoming 2022 season, the team is a member of the NCAA Division I American Athletic Conference (The American). History FIU started their soccer program in 1972. They were unaffiliated from any collegiate organization until they joined the NCAA Division II from 1975 to 1986. Johan Peñaranda (born January 3, 2000) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for USL League One club Northern Colorado Hailstorm.
