2019 German Darts Masters
The 2019 German Darts Masters was the third staging of the tournament by the Professional Darts Corporation, and was the second entry in the 2019 World Series of Darts. The tournament featured 16 players (eight PDC players facing eight regional qualifiers) and was held at the LANXESS arena in Cologne, Germany on 12–13 July 2019. Mensur Suljović was the defending champion after defeating Dimitri Van den Bergh 8–2 in the 2018 final, but lost 8–3 to Gabriel Clemens in the semi-finals. Peter Wright won his third World Series title and his second in Germany with an 8–6 win over Gabriel Clemens in the final. Three of the top-ranked PDC players were beaten in the first round, a new record for the World Series. Prize money The total prize fund was £60,000. Lanxess Arena
Lanxess Arena (originally Kölnarena, German for ''Cologne Arena'') is an indoor arena, in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is known as the 18,500-capacity home of the Kölner Haie. The arena opened in 1998 and can accommodate 20,000 people for concerts. With its capacity of 18,500, it is the largest ice hockey arena outside North America. It is primarily used by Kölner Haie (ice hockey), VfL Gummersbach (handball), Köln RheinStars (basketball), and as a concert venue. The arena is spanned by a steel arch supporting the roof via steel cables. The height of the arch is and its weight is 480 tons. Daryl Gurney
Daryl Gurney (born 22 March 1986) is a Northern Irish professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Gurney is a winner of two majors, having won the World Grand Prix in 2017 in his native Ireland, and the Players Championship Finals in 2018. Career Gurney reached the quarter finals of the 2008 Scottish Open, beating Andy Boulton and Alan Soutar before losing to Shaun Greatbatch. He then reached the final of the 2008 WDF Europe Cup, beating Stig Jorgensen in the quarter finals and then beat Fabian Roosenbrand 4–0 in the semi-finals before losing to defending champion Mark Webster 4–0 in the final. World Series Of Darts
The World Series of Darts is a series of darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation. Beginning in 2013, the World Series has comprised between two and seven tournaments across the world, where a mixture of the top-ranked PDC players take on local qualifiers in a knockout format. Since 2015, there has been a finals tournament held annually in November at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow, Scotland, although in 2018, it moved to the Multiversum Schwechat in Vienna, Austria, and moved again to the AFAS Live in Amsterdam, Netherlands in 2019, then to the Salzburgarena, Salzburg in 2020. Maik Langendorf
Maik Langendorf (born 11 March 1972) is a former German-based Austrian professional darts player. He won a PDC tour card on the second day of the 2017 PDC Darts Qualifying School. Robert Marijanović
Robert Marijanovic (born 6 May 1980) is a German darts player of Croatian heritage. Career Marijanović qualified for the 2013 PDC World Darts Championship after coming through the Eastern European qualifier. He was beaten 3–4 by Northern Ireland's Daryl Gurney in the preliminary round. In February 2013 he played in his first World Cup of Darts, representing Croatia alongside Tonči Restović and they advanced from Group G courtesy of a 5–3 victory over New Zealand. They survived two match darts from Northern Ireland in the last 16 to win 5–4 and face the Belgium brothers Ronny and Kim Huybrechts in the quarter-finals. Kevin Münch
Kevin Münch (born 27 July 1988) is a German darts player. Career Münch reached the last 40 of the 2011 Winmau World Masters before losing to Colin Fowler. Münch qualified for the 2012 PDC World Darts Championship after winning the German Qualifier, defeating Bernd Roith 10–8 in the final. He defeated Malaysia's Lee Choon Peng 4–2 in the preliminary round. In the first round, he played Denis Ovens, and won the first set 3–0 before Ovens was forced to retire from the match due to a back injury. Martin Schindler (born 16 August 1996) is a German professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Schindler won a PDC Tour Card at Qualifying-School (Q-School) in January 2017. Max Hopp
Max Hopp (born 20 August 1996) is a German professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Hopp reached the final of the 2011 WDF World Cup boys' singles, and won the boys' singles event at the 2012 WDF Europe Youth Cup. He also reached the last 16 of the 2012 Dutch Darts Masters, defeating Terry Jenkins and Steve Beaton before losing to Paul Nicholson. Raymond Van Barneveld
Raymond van Barneveld (born 20 April 1967) is a Dutch professional darts player. Nicknamed Barney, although originally known as The Man, he is one of the most successful darts players in history.
