Jerry Hendriks
Jerry Hendriks (born 25 October 1988) is a Dutch darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career BDO Hendriks won the 2003 WDF World Youth Cup. During his time in the BDO he was a losing semi-finalist in the French Open and Swiss Open and was defeated in the last 16 of the 2010 World Masters. PDC In 2012, he qualified for the European Championship through the European Order of Merit, and beat Mensur Suljović 6–2 in the first round. He played fifteen-time world champion Phil Taylor in the second round and in an even contest, Hendriks was edged out 7–10, stating afterwards that his goal for the remainder of the season was to qualify for the World Championship for the first time. Pavel Jirkal (born 10 April 1983) is a Czech darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Pavel started playing at the age of 14 and is one of the most experienced Czech players. In 2001 he won Czech Open, a tournament organised by the British Darts Organisation (BDO), when he defeated another Czech player, Radek Schulz. A year later, he became the World champion U21 in soft-tip darts. He took part in bigger international tournaments in 2004 and 2005, when he competed in the major tournament World Masters. In 2008 he got a chance to play in four tournaments of PDPA Players Championship, twice he made it among last 64. During years he won many national single and doubles titles. Jamie Lewis
Jamie Lewis (born 8 November 1991) is a Welsh professional darts player who currently plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and World Darts Federation (WDF) events. His biggest achievement to date was reaching the semi-finals of the 2018 PDC World Darts Championship where he lost to Phil Taylor. Career Lewis won the World Masters and WDF World Cup boys' events in 2009. Lewis reached the last 24 of the 2010 World Masters, losing 2–3 in sets to Ted Hankey. He also reached the semi-finals of the 2011 WDF World Cup, losing out to Martin Adams 3–6. The 2018 European Darts Grand Prix was the fifth of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2018 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at Glaspalast, Sindelfingen, Germany, between 4–6 May 2018. It featured a field of 48 players and £135,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Peter Wright was the defending champion after defeating Michael van Gerwen 6–0 in the 2017 final, but he was defeated 6–5 in the third round to Danny Noppert. Michael van Gerwen won the tournament for a second time, defeating James Wade 8–3 in the final whilst averaging over 109 for the third successive game. The 2017 European Darts Open was the eighth of twelve PDC European Tour events on the 2017 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at Ostermann-Arena, Leverkusen, Germany, between 30 June–2 July 2017. It featured a field of 48 players and £135,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Michael van Gerwen was the defending champion after defeating Peter Wright 6–5 in the final of the 2016 tournament, but lost 6–2 in the third round to Rob Cross. PDC European Tour
The PDC European Tour is a series of darts tournaments held across Europe organized by the Professional Darts Corporation. Starting in 2012 with five events, the number of events has steadily risen with eight held in 2013 and 2014, nine in 2015, ten in 2016, twelve in 2017, thirteen in both 2018 and 2019, and thirteen once more in 2020 (although that was reduced to four, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic), and only two events took place in 2021, with a return to thirteen events in 2022. These events see the top players on the PDC ProTour Order of Merit compete against players from six different regional qualifiers. Currently the prize fund for each tournament is £140,000, with £25,000 going to the winner. The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) is a professional darts organisation in the United Kingdom, established in 1992 when a group of leading players split from the British Darts Organisation (BDO) to form what was initially called the World Darts Council (WDC). Sports promoter Eddie Hearn is the PDC chairman.
