Kevin Münch
Kevin Münch (born 27 July 1988) is a German darts player. Career Münch reached the last 40 of the 2011 Winmau World Masters before losing to Colin Fowler. Münch qualified for the 2012 PDC World Darts Championship after winning the German Qualifier, defeating Bernd Roith 10–8 in the final. He defeated Malaysia's Lee Choon Peng 4–2 in the preliminary round. In the first round, he played Denis Ovens, and won the first set 3–0 before Ovens was forced to retire from the match due to a back injury. He played Steve Farmer in the second round and although he led 2–1, with chances to go to 3–1, he would lose the match 4–2. In June, he earned a place in the German Darts Championship in Berlin by defeating Alexander Tauber and Maik Langendorf in the Home Nation Qualifier. Herne () is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located in the Ruhr area directly between the cities of Bochum and Gelsenkirchen. PDC World Darts Championship
The PDC World Darts Championship, known for sponsorship purposes as the Cazoo World Darts Championship, organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), is a World Professional Darts Championship held annually in the sport of darts. The PDC championship begins in December and ends in January and is held at Alexandra Palace in London and has been held there since 2008. It is the most prestigious of the PDC's tournaments, with the winner receiving the Sid Waddell Trophy, named in honour of the darts commentator Sid Waddell, who died in 2012. Along with the Premier League Darts and World Matchplay, it is considered part of the Triple Crown. The PDC championship began in 1994 as the WDC World Darts Championship as one of the consequences of the split in darts, which saw the World Darts Council break away from the BDO. Antonio Alcinas Estelrich (born 7 April 1979) is a Spanish darts player playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Alcinas started competing in PDC Europe events in 2010. After reaching the quarter-finals of a Players Championship in Haarlem in June 2010, he qualified for the European Championship via the PDC European Order of Merit. He was defeated 6–3 in the first round by Mark Walsh, despite hitting a 160 checkout to go 3–2 ahead. Alcinas is an accomplished soft-tip darts player and won the 2010 Soft Tip NDA World Championship. He teamed up with Carlos Rodríguez to represent Spain at the 2010 PDC World Cup of Darts. Adrian Lewis
Adrian Lewis (born 21 January 1985) is an English professional darts player currently playing in the PDC. He is a two-time PDC World Darts Champion, winning in 2011 and 2012. He is nicknamed Jackpot, as he won a jackpot gambling in Las Vegas in 2005, but he was unable to collect the money as he was 20 years old, below the US legal gambling age of 21. During the early part of his career until 2007, Lewis was a protégé of 16-time world champion Phil Taylor, with whom he practised in their home city Stoke-on-Trent. The 2016 European Darts Trophy was the eighth of ten PDC European Tour events on the 2016 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at the RWE-Sporthalle in Mülheim, Germany, between 9–11 September 2016. It featured a field of 48 players and £115,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. British Darts Organisation
The British Darts Organisation (BDO) was a darts organisation founded on 7 January 1973 by Olly Croft. Made up of 66 member counties, it oversaw professional, semi-professional and amateur darts competitions in Britain. The BDO was a founder member of the World Darts Federation in 1976. It also staged a BDO World Darts Championship, World Professional Darts Championship from 1978 to 2020. In the early 1990s, a dispute between Olly Croft and the top darts players over the decline in TV coverage and sponsorship led to an acrimonious Split in darts, split in the game, with the players breaking away to form their own governing body which became the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC).
