2019 Donegal County Football Team Season
The following is a summary of Donegal county football team's 2019 season. Two players started all 18 matches in 2019: these were Jamie Brennan and Hugh McFadden. Niall O'Donnell played each match too, though only as a substitute in the championship meeting with Fermanagh. Paul Brennan only missed one of the eighteen games, though he began just five of these. Jason McGee played in all matches except for the 2019 National Football League fixture with Cork, which he missed due to suspension. Personnel changes Oisín Gallen became an "impact sub" during the championship; this was despite him not being part of the Donegal panel at the start of the 2019 season. The Fermanagh county football team ( ) represents Fermanagh GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association, in the Gaelic sport of football. The team competes in the three major annual inter-county competitions; the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Ulster Senior Football Championship and the National Football League. Mark McHugh
Mark McHugh (born 22 August 1990) is an Irish Gaelic footballer and coach who plays for Cill Chartha and, formerly, the Donegal county team. He is the brother of Ryan and the son of Martin. He won one All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (2012) and three Ulster Senior Football Championships ( 2011, 2012 and 2018) with his county. Playing career Club In his early career, McHugh admitted his club did not have many big games. He won the 2017 Donegal Senior Football Championship, scoring the opening point in the first minute of the final. It was the first time his club had won the title in 24 years, having been defeated by Glenswilly at the same stage the previous year. Martin O'Reilly (Gaelic Footballer)
Martin 'Marty' O'Reilly is an Irish Gaelic footballer and hurler who plays for Seán MacCumhaills of Ballybofey and also, formerly, for the Donegal county football team. He plays both football and hurling for his club. Early life and education O'Reilly attended college in Marino Institute of Education and is now a primary school teacher in Castleknock, Dublin. He is related to former Mayo footballers Willie Joe Padden and Billy Joe Padden. Armagh County Football Team
The Armagh county football team ( ) represents Armagh GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association, in the Gaelic sport of football. Martin McElhinney
Martin McElhinney (born 10 August 1988) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for St Michael's and also, formerly, for the Donegal county team (between 2007 and 2019). Among other accolades, he has one All-Ireland Senior Football Championship and four Ulster Senior Football Championships to his name. He is from Creeslough. Conor Morrison (Gaelic Footballer)
Conor Morrison (born 1995 or 1996) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for St Eunan's and the Donegal county team. Education Morrison attended St Eunan's College, studying for his Leaving Certificate in 2013–14. He commenced the final year of his engineering degree at Dublin City University (DCU) in 2019, commuting from Dublin for club training. Morrison's age is given as 23. Morrison played for DCU in the Sigerson Cup, winning the trophy in 2020. He completed his degree and qualified as a mechanical engineer later that year, receiving an undergraduate position with Mercury Engineering in Leixlip, County Kildare. Cian Mulligan ( , ; born 4 March 1996) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Gaoth Dobhair and the Donegal county team. He scored two goals in the 2018 Ulster Senior Football Championship, a competition which his county team won. Eoghan McGettigan (born 1997/8) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Naomh Conaill and the Donegal county team. Playing career Club McGettigan won a Donegal Senior Football Championship (SFC) with his club in 2015, appearing as a substitute in the final, when he was 17 years of age. Aaron Doherty is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Naomh Columba and the Donegal county team. He attended Coláiste na Carraige and Dublin Institute of Technology. He is from near Teelin, in the parish of Gleann Cholm Cille. He has also played association football for St Catherine's and Letterbarrow Celtic. Doherty played football at minor level for Donegal. He was first called into the Donegal senior team in 2019, following the departure of other players. He won an Ulster Senior Football Championship medal shortly afterwards. Oisín Gallen (born 1999/2000) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Seán Mac Cumhaills and the Donegal county team. He plays as a forward. Playing career Club 2018 was when Gallen first played for his club in the senior championship. In the 2023 Donegal Senior Football Championship quarter-final, his club had a surprise 1–17 to 1–14 victory against Glenswilly at O'Donnell Park, a game in which Gallen scored 1–9 of his club's total, and qualified for the competition's semi-final.
