The 2018–19 Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the 18th season of this championship, with 11 teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina participating in it. Zrinjski was the defending champion. Široki won its tenth league title. Competition format Eleven teams would join the regular season, played with as double round-robin tournament. Igokea, participant in the 2018–19 Adriatic League First Division, would not join the competition. 2017–18 Basketball Championship Of Bosnia And Herzegovina
The 2017–18 Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the 17th season of this championship, with 12 teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina participating in it. Igokea, the defending champion, will join the tournament directly in the second stage. The competition will start on 14 October 2017 and will end on 12, 16 or 19 May 2018 depending on the number of matches played in the finals. Competition format Twelve teams would join the regular season, where the first five teams qualified for the Liga 6 with Igokea, that plays the season's ABA League First Division. On 18 September 2017, the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina released the calendar of the regular season. Košarkaški klub Kakanj (), commonly referred to as KK Kakanj, is a men's professional basketball club based in Kakanj, Zenica-Doboj Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina. They are currently competing in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Championship. History The club won the 2nd-tier A1 League in the 2011–12 season and got promoted to Bosnia and Herzegovina Championship for the 2012–13 season. 2018–19 ABA League Second Division
The 2018–19 ABA League Second Division was the 2nd season of the ABA Second Division with 12 teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia participating in it. Format changes On March 13, 2018, the Adriatic League Assembly decided to abolish the National standings and, as of the 2018–19 season, participants are determined only based on the results in the competitions under the umbrella of the Adriatic League ( First Division and Second Division). According to that, the promotion to the First Division is possible only from the Second Division. The last placed of the 2017–18 First Division season lose the right to participate in the 2018–19 season and its place is given to the 2017–18 Champion of the Second Division. Vogošća ( sr-cyrl, Bогошћа) is a town and a municipality located in Sarajevo Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The municipality is located about 6 kilometers north of the city of Sarajevo and is its secondary suburb, after Ilidža. Mrkonjić Grad ( sr-cyrl, Мркоњић Град, ) is a town and municipality located in the western part of Republika Srpska, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Kakanj ( sr-cyrl, Какањ) is a town and municipality located in Zenica-Doboj Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Srebrenik ( sr-cyrl, Сребреник) is a city located in Tuzla Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in northeastern Bosnia and Herzegovina, near Tuzla. Bratunac ( sr-cyrl, Братунац) is a town and municipality located in easternmost part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. As of 2013 census, it has a population of 20,340 inhabitants, while the town of Bratunac has a population of 8,359 inhabitants.
