Vogošća
Vogošća ( sr-cyrl, Bогошћа) is a town and a municipality located in Sarajevo Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The municipality is located about 6 kilometers north of the city of Sarajevo and is its secondary suburb, after Ilidža. According to the 2013 census, the town has a population of 10,568 inhabitants, with 26,343 inhabitants in the municipality. History Vogošća greatly prospered during the 1980s, as part of Sarajevo’s great boom in the latter half of the 20th century. It grew to prominence in large part due to its automobile manufacturing industry, having deals with German and Swedish companies, including Volkswagen Group. By the late 1980s, it was the second most industrious and productive municipality in the former Yugoslavia. Blagovac
Blagovac is a settlement in Vogošća municipality, near Sarajevo, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is divided into five sub parts which are: Blagovac 1 (factory area), Blagovac 2 (international dog training center in Miro Dukić's house), Blagovac 3 (local mosque that was built after the Bosnian War, shopping center) and Blagovac 4 and 5. History First settlers in Blagovac were the Blagovčanin family. Before the Bosnian conflicts Blagovac was entirely populated by a Serbian population. After the war, and with the forming of Republika Srpska, most of the Serbs sold their houses and moved to Pale or other places with a Serbian majority. Volkswagen Sarajevo
Volkswagen Sarajevo d.o.o. is an automobile manufacturer with headquarters in Vogošća, a northern suburb of Sarajevo. The company, which is majority-owned by the Volkswagen AG, Volkswagen group, is a successor to the automobile plant Tvornica Automobila Sarajevo, which operated at the same location from 1972 to 1992 and in which Volkswagen held a 49% stake. The plant mainly produces containers for automobile production. The vehicle production, which existed between 1998 and 2008, was terminated due to the abolition of the tariffs between the EU and Bosnia and Herzegovina that existed until then. 1991 Population Census In Bosnia And Herzegovina
The 1991 population census in Bosnia and Herzegovina was the last census of the population undertaken in the Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina before the Bosnian War. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the smallest administrative unit is the municipality ("''opština''/општина" or "''općina''/опћина" in the official languages and scripts of the country). Prior to the 1992–95 Bosnian War there were 109 municipalities in what was then Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ten of these formed the area of the capital Sarajevo. After the war, the number of municipalities was increased to 143, grouped in the following way: *79 municipalities constitute the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), which comprises 51% of the country's total territory.
