2016 Tippeligaen
The 2016 Tippeligaen was the 72nd completed season of top-tier football in Norway. The competition began on 11 March 2016. Due to the 2016 UEFA European Championship, there was a break between the rounds played on 29 May and 3 July. The decisive matches of the home-and-away season were played on 6 November 2016. A promotion/relegation play-off between the third-from-bottom team of the Tippeligaen and the winner of the promotion play-offs of the 2016 1. divisjon was contested on 30 November and 4 December 2016. The league was contested by 16 teams: the 13 best teams of the 2015 season; the two teams who won direct promotion from the 2015 1. divisjon, Sogndal and Brann; and Start, who won the promotion/relegation play-off finals against Jerv. The 2016 season was the last season the league was named ''Tippeligaen''. Sogndal Fotball
Sogndal Fotball is the association football department of Norwegian sports club Sogndal IL from Sogndal in Vestland. The club was founded in 1926. The men's team currently plays in 1. divisjon, the second tier of the Norwegian football league system. The club's home matches are played at the 5,622 capacity Fosshaugane Campus. In 1976, the men's team were runners-up in the Norwegian Cup, losing 2–1 against SK Brann. Sogndal became the first third tier side to play a Norwegian Cup final. The 2017 season is Sogndal's most recent in Eliteserien, the top division. Eirik Bakke is the current head coach of the club since taking over on 1 January 2019. Jo Inge Berget (born 11 September 1990) is a Norwegian professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Forward (association football), forward. He has played professionally in his homeland, Italy, Wales, Scotland, Sweden and the United States, and made his debut for the Norway national football team, Norway national team in 2012. Andrew Dallas (referee)
Andrew Dallas (born 1 February 1983) is a Scottish football referee. He regularly officiates matches in the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Championship. In January 2015, Dallas was named on FIFA's international list. The following year, he was promoted from UEFA's third category to its second category. He has since officiated matches in the UEFA Europa League, UEFA European Under-19 Championship and UEFA Nations League, amongst others. Dallas resigned from the FIFA list in June 2019. Røa IL
Røa IL is a Norwegian sports club from Røa in the borough of Vestre Aker, Oslo. It was founded on 11 November 1900, and has sections for football, gymnastics, bandy, and cross-country skiing. Football, bandy, and Nordic skiing have been dominant in Røa. In bandy, the team has twice made it to the finals in the Norwegian cup, losing both to arch-rivals Stabæk. In skiing, the two foremost names are Olav Hansson, world champion team large hill ski jumping in the 1982 World Ski Championships and Martin Johnsrud Sundby, a Norwegian national team cross-country skier who won the FIS Cross-Country World Cup and the Tour de Ski in 2013–14. The 2015 Toppserien is the twenty-nine season of top-tier Women's association football, women's football in Norway since its establishment in 1987. A total of 12 teams contested for the league, eleven returning from the 2014 season and the one teams promoted from the 2014 Norwegian First Division (women), First Division, IL Sandviken, Sandviken. Sandefjord Fotball
Sandefjord Fotball, commonly known simply as Sandefjord, is a Norwegian professional football club, founded on 10 September 1998. The club currently competes in Eliteserien, the top tier of the Norwegian football league system. Their home ground is the Release Arena, located in Sandefjord, Vestfold. The club reached 1. divisjon in 1999, where they made quick progress and soon settled as strong competitors for promotion to the top division. Finishing third in 1. divisjon both in 2002 and 2003 they qualified for play-off matches, but lost both times. In 2004 they finished fourth.
