Nepal (; ne, नेपाल ), formerly the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal ( ne, सङ्घीय लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्र नेपाल ), is a landlocked country in South Asia. Amber Gurung
Shree Amber Gurung ( ne, अम्बर गुरुङ) (26 February 1938 – 7 June 2016) was a Nepalese composer, singer, and lyricist. He composed Nepal's national anthem, "Sayaun Thunga Phulka". Early life Amber Gurung was born in Darjeeling, India, where his father and former soldier in the British Indian Army, Ujir Singh Gurung, served as a policeman from Gorkha district, Nepal. His mother encouraged him to sing and compose as a child, and he taught himself to play Nepali, Indian, and Western instruments. He studied at Turnbull School, Darjeeling, where he fell in love with music while singing Bible Hymns. Career In the 1950s, he formed an association with Nepali poet Agam Singh Giri.He has wote over 100 song. He became the headmaster of Bhanu Bhakta School, founded by Giri, and pioneered the Art Academy of Music. Kamal Mani Dixit
Kamal Mani Dixit ( ne, कमलमणि दीक्षित; 2 September 1929 – 29 December 2016) was the founder and chair of Madan Puraskar Pustakalaya and Madan Puraskar. He was the author of numerous Nepali books and has made important contribution to Nepali literature. Early life Dixit was born on 2 September 1929 in Gairidhara, Kathmandu, the son of Kedar Mani Dixit and Bidhya Devi Dixit. Dixit attended Durbar High School in Kathmandu. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Banaras Hindu University in 1949. Personal life He married Anju Paudel in 1949. They have 2 sons and 1 daughter: Kunda Dixit and Kanak Mani Dixit are established journalists of Nepal and daughter Rupa Joshi is also known for her writing. Gore Bahadur Khapangi ( ne, गोरेबहादुर खपांगी) (1940–2016) was former minister and founding leader of Prajatantrik Janamukti Party of Nepal. He belonged to Magars community. He was born in Mahottari District of Nepal. He completed his master's degree in English from Kathmandu, Nepal. President Of Nepal
The president of Nepal ( ne, नेपालको राष्ट्रपति, translit=Nēpālakō Rāṣṭrapati) is the head of state of Nepal and the commander-in-chief of the Nepalese Armed Forces. The president is indirectly elected by an electoral college comprising the Federal Parliament of Nepal and the provincial assemblies of each of Nepal's seven provinces, who themselves are all directly elected. The office was created in May 2008 after the country was declared a republic. The first president of Nepal was Ram Baran Yadav.
