2016 Gira Angola
The 2016 Segundona is the 22nd season of the second-tier football league in Angola. The season ran from 10 July to October 2016. The league comprises 2 series of 5 teams, the winner of each series being automatically promoted to the 2017 Girabola while the runners-up of each group will contest for the third spot. At the end of the regular season, the three series winners will play a round-robin tournament to determine the league champion. Santa Rita De Cássia FC
Santa Rita de Cássia Futebol Clube is an Angolan sports club from the city of Uíge. The team made its debut in the Gira Angola (Angola's second division championship) in 2016 after winning the Uige province football championship. The club is named after Italian saint Rita of Cascia in whose honor a sanctuary was built at the village of Casseche, Uíge city, where an annual pilgrimage is held. In 2016, its debutant year in the second division, the club managed to be promoted to Angola's top flight division, the Girabola. 2017 disaster On February 10, 2017, shortly after the inaugural match of the 2017 Girabola between home team Santa Rita de Cássia and Recreativo do Libolo, one of the access gates of Estádio 4 de Janeiro collapsed as access was made free and attendants tried to force their way into the stadium. Menongue
Menongue, formerly Serpa Pinto, is a town, a municipality, and the capital of Cuando Cubango Province in Angola. The municipality had a population of 320,914 in 2014. It is one of the four municipalities in Angola whose inhabitants are predominantly Mbunda. Menongue is the current terminus of the Moçâmedes Railway, from Moçâmedes, and also home of the small Menongue Airport. 2016 Girabola
The 2016 Girabola was the 38th season of top-tier football in Angola. The season ran from 19 February to 5 November 2016. The league comprised 16 teams, the bottom three of which were relegated to the 2016 Provincial championships. 1º de Agosto won their first league title. Luanda

Estádio 4 de Janeiro is a football stadium in Uíge, Angola. History Inaugurated on March 17, 1968, as Estádio José Ferreira de Lima, the stadium was then owned by Clube Recreativo do Uíge. Shortly after the independence, it was nationalized. The state-owned 12,000-seat stadium is the only one in Angola's northern province of Uíge that meets the international standards to host Girabola matches. Benguela (; Umbundu: Luombaka) is a city in western Angola, capital of Benguela Province. Benguela is one of Angola's most populous cities with a population of 555,124 in the city and 561,775 in the municipality, at the 2014 census. History Portuguese rule Benguela was founded in 1617 as ''São Felipe de Benguela'' by the Portuguese under Manuel Cerveira Pereira, 8th Governor of Angola (1604–1607). It was long the centre of an important trade, especially in slaves to Brazil and Cuba.
