2015–16 LEB Oro Season
The 2015–16 LEB Oro season was the 20th season of the Spanish basketball second league LEB Oro. The season started on October 2 and ended on May 27 with the last game of the promotion playoffs finals. Teams Promotion and relegation (pre-season) Despite the aim to increase the number of teams to sixteen, finally a total of 14 teams contested the league, including 12 sides from the 2014–15 season and two promoted from the 2014–15 LEB Plata. Ford Burgos, CB Valladolid and Instituto de Fertilidad Clínicas Rincón, who will play in this season's LEB Plata resigned to play in the league while CB Prat Joventut, relegated in the last season, achieved a vacant berth. Palencia Baloncesto
Palencia Baloncesto, officially named as CD Zunder Palencia, is a professional basketball team based in Palencia, Castile and León. The team currently plays in league LEB Oro. History The club was founded in 1979 at Colegio Marista of Palencia, with the aim to support farm teams competing at provincial and regional tournaments. The professional basketball team was created on 1997 and played during five years at Liga EBA before being invited to join the LEB Plata. On the 2008–09, Palencia Baloncesto won the Copa LEB Plata and was champion of this league, promoting for the first time in their history to LEB Oro, the Spanish second division. In 2014 Palencia Baloncesto was defeated by CB Tizona in the promotion playoffs finals to Liga ACB by 1–3. CB Miraflores
Club Baloncesto San Pablo Burgos, S.A.D., previously known as Club Baloncesto Miraflores and also known as Hereda San Pablo Burgos by sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball team based in Burgos, Spain and plays in the Coliseum Burgos. The team currently plays in LEB Oro. The club's biggest success has been winning the Basketball Champions League in 2020 and in 2021. History Founded in 1994, CB Miraflores played its first years in the provincial league of Burgos. Pavelló Barris Nord ( Catalan for ''Northern Neighborhood Pavilion'') is an arena in Lleida, Catalonia, Spain. It is primarily used for basketball games and the home arena of Força Lleida CE. Oviedo Club Baloncesto, also known as Alimerka Oviedo Baloncesto for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball team based in Oviedo, Asturias, that plays in the Spanish LEB Oro league. History First years Oviedo CB was founded in 2004 to substitute old CB Vetusta, today dissolved. CB Bahía San Agustín, more commonly known as Palmer Alma Mediterrànea Palma by sponsorship reasons, is a basketball team based in Palma, Spain. Club Baloncesto Peñas Huesca is a Spanish professional Basketball team based in Huesca, Aragón. The team currently plays in league LEB Plata. History The team played in Liga ACB, where they stayed from 1983 to 1996. Club Baloncesto Clavijo is a professional Basketball team based in Logroño, La Rioja. The team currently plays in league LEB Oro. History Founded in 1967, CB Clavijo started their first years playing in the provincial league and after achieving several promotions, reaches the Segunda División, third tier, in 1977.
