Pavelló Barris Nord
Pavelló Barris Nord (Catalan for ''Northern Neighborhood Pavilion'') is an arena in Lleida, Catalonia, Spain. It is primarily used for basketball games and the home arena of Força Lleida CE. History The construction of the Pavelló Barris Nord began on 1 June 2001, after the promotion of CE Lleida Bàsquet to Liga ACB, with the aim to give to the club an arena that fulfills the requirements to play in the league. Built in four months, it was opened on 4 October 2001. From an initial capacity of 5,500 people, after being expanded in summer of 2003, its new capacity is of 6,100 seats. The pavilion is located in ''Barris Nord'', an area of Lleida made out of parts of the neighborhoods of Pardinyes, Secà de Sant Pere and Balàfia, in the intersection of Rambla de Pardinyes with Avinguda de Prat de la Riba. Avinguda Prat de la Riba, formerly called ''Avenida del General Mola'' in Francoist Spain, is one of the main avenues of the city of Lleida. It is 2.5 km in length and 25 meters wide, with 3 lanes in each traffic direction. It is named after the Catalan politician Enric Prat de la Riba, whereas its former namesake was Emilio Mola. When created, it was a merely 805 meters long originating at Plaça de Ricard Viñes and ending by Carrer del Príncep de Viana. Roller hockey (in British English), rink hockey (in American English) or quad hockey is a team sport played on roller skates. It is the only quad skate team sport in existence where two teams face-off against one another at the same time. Two teams try to drive a hard ball with their sticks into the opposing teams' goalnet. Each team has five players on the rink at a time, four of whom are skaters and one who is the goalkeeper. The ball can only be put in motion by a stick, not the skate, otherwise a foul will be stated. The game has two 25-minute halves, with 15-minute halftime intermission, plus up to two 5-minute golden goal (a.k.a. El Canto Del Loco
El Canto del Loco (''The Singing of the Madman'' in English) was a Spanish pop rock band, although its members recognize that some of their songs are more in the style of power pop. The name of the band comes from the song '' El Canto del Gallo'' by Radio Futura. The group sometimes known through the abbreviation ECDL was created in 1994 by Dani Martín and Ivan Ganchegui (who left the group in 2002) although the final line up would not come together until years later. Influenced mainly by other Spanish groups from the 1980s and with five studio albums, ''El Canto del Loco'' has gone on to sell more than a million albums, making them one of the most successful bands on the Spanish music scene in recent years. Luis Miguel González Bosé (born 3 April 1956), usually known as Miguel Bosé, is a Spanish pop new wave singer and actor. Early life Bosé was born in San Fernando Hospital in Panama City, Panama, the son of Italian actress Lucia Bosè (1931–2020) and Spanish bullfighter Luis Miguel Dominguín. Bosé grew up surrounded by art and culture: Pablo Picasso and Ernest Hemingway were close friends of the family.
