Alfreton ( ) is a town and civil parishes in England, civil parish in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire, England. The town was formerly a Norman Manor and later an Urban District. The population of the Alfreton parish was 7,971 at the 2011 Census. The villages of Ironville, Riddings, Somercotes and Swanwick, Derbyshire, Swanwick were historically part of the Manor and Urban District, and the population including these was 24,476 in 2001. History Alfreton is said to have been founded by King Alfred and to have derived its name from him. New Meadow
New Meadow, also known as Montgomery Waters Meadow for sponsorship purposes, is a stadium situated on the southern outskirts of Shrewsbury, Shropshire, between the districts of Meole Brace and Sutton Farm, and close to the A5. It serves the home ground of English football club Shrewsbury Town. Craig Carl Curran (born 23 August 1989) is an English former professional footballer. Curran plays as a striker, who can operate in midfield or attack. He began his career with Tranmere Rovers, making his debut in 2007 and going on to play over 100 games for the club before joining Carlisle United in 2010 and then Rochdale two years later. He joined Irish club Limerick in 2013, returning to England the following year to play non-League football with Nuneaton Town. Matlock, Derbyshire
Matlock is the county town of Derbyshire, England. It is situated in the south-eastern part of the Peak District, with the National Park directly to the west. The town is twinned with the French town of Eaubonne. The former spa resort of Matlock Bath lies immediately south of the town on the A6. Daniel Keith Gardner (born 5 April 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Oldham Athletic. He previously played in the Football League for Crewe Alexandra, Chesterfield, Oldham Athletic, Wigan Athletic and Doncaster Rovers.
