Dan Gardner (footballer)
Daniel Keith Gardner (born 5 April 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Oldham Athletic. He previously played in the Football League for Crewe Alexandra, Chesterfield, Oldham Athletic, Wigan Athletic and Doncaster Rovers. Career Celtic Gardner was attending The Manchester College, training to be a panel beater and playing for their academy team (affiliated with FC United of Manchester) when he was noticed by scouts from Scotland and invited for a trial with Celtic's youth team in mid-October 2008. An "outstanding" performance against Rangers secured a short-term deal which was extended to a three-year professional contract. He went on to make a couple of substitute appearances for the reserve team. However the SPL decided to scrap the Reserve League and so teams continued with a smaller first-team roster and a youth team. Accrington Stanley Football Club is a professional association football club based in Accrington, Lancashire, England. The club competes in League One, the third tier of the English football league system. They have spent their complete history playing at the Crown Ground. John Sheridan (footballer)
John Joseph Sheridan (born 1 October 1964) is an Irish football former football player and manager who was last head coach of National League club Oldham Athletic. A midfielder, he began his playing career with Manchester City and then moved to Leeds United, where he scored 47 league goals in 230 appearances. He played for Nottingham Forest briefly, under the management of Brian Clough, and then joined Sheffield Wednesday, for whom he scored the winning goal in the 1991 Football League Cup Final at Wembley Stadium. Near the end of his time with the club, he played for Birmingham City and Bolton Wanderers on loan before joining the latter permanently. Sheridan made 199 league appearances for Wednesday and scored 25 goals. He won the First Division title with Bolton in 1997. The Football Association Challenge Trophy, commonly known as the FA Trophy, is a men's football knockout cup competition run by and named after the English Football Association and competed for primarily by semi-professional teams. Histon is a village and civil parish in the South Cambridgeshire district, in the county of Cambridgeshire, England.
