2014 HDF Insurance Shoot-Out
The 2014 HDF Insurance Shoot-Out was held from September 11 to 14 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Alberta. The event was held on Week 3 of the 2014–15 World Curling Tour. The men's event had a purse of CAD$22,000, and the women's event had a purse of CAD$27,000. The winning team in each event won CAD$6,000. Local teams from Edmonton won both the men's and women's events. On the men's side, Brendan Bottcher's rink defeated Saskatchewan's Steve Laycock in an extra end. Matthew Blandford (born April 16, 1985) is a Canadian curler currently residing in Cold Lake, Alberta. He is originally from Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador, and is a three-time Newfoundland and Labrador junior champion. Career Blandford started his curling career as a junior curler in Newfoundland and Labrador. He was the provincial junior champion three times, and represented Newfoundland and Labrador at the Canadian Junior Championships three times. He finished in tenth place in 2003, finished as the runner-up in 2004, and finished tied for fourth at the 2005. A warren is a network of wild rodent or lagomorph, typically rabbit burrows. Brady Clark (born September 12, 1977) is an American curler from Lynnwood, Washington. Clark is a ten-time national mixed champion, three-time national mixed doubles champion, and two-time national men's champion (2013 & 2016). He has played in three World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships and one World Men's Championship.
