2013 IFSC Climbing World Cup
The 2013 IFSC Climbing World Cup was held in 19 locations. Bouldering competitions were held in 8 locations, lead in 8 locations, and speed in 7 locations. The season began on 22 March in Chongqing, China and concluded on 17 November in Kranj, Slovenia. The top 3 in each competition received medals, and the overall winners were awarded trophies. At the end of the season an overall ranking was determined based upon points, which athletes were awarded for finishing in the top 30 of each individual event. The winners for bouldering were Dmitrii Sharafutdinov and Anna Stöhr, for lead Sachi Amma and Jain Kim, for speed Stanislav Kokorin and Alina Gaidamakina, and for combined Jakob Schubert and Mina Markovic, men and women respectively. Kim Ja-in (Hangul: , born 11 September 1988), more widely known in the West as Jain Kim, is a professional climber. She is mainly active in lead climbing and bouldering competitions. She has won the Lead Climbing World Cup three times (2010, 2013, 2014), the Lead Climbing World Championship once (2014), and the Rock Master once (2010, Lead discipline). Anna Stöhr (born 25 April 1988 in Reith im Alpbachtal, Austria) is a professional climber. She is a champion in bouldering climbing competitions. She won four Bouldering World Cups, in 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2013 and two World Championships, in 2007 and 2011. Notably, she dominated the 2013 Bouldering World Cup series, by winning seven events out of eight, losing one just by one attempt to Juliane Wurm.
