2010 Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic
The 2010 Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic was held from October 8 to 11 at the Calgary Curling Club in Calgary, Alberta. It was the 33rd edition of the event, and it marked the fifth time that the event was held as a Grand Slam event. The total purse of the event was CAD$52,000. The event featured 32 teams, six from outside Canada. The teams played in a triple knockout format, followed by a playoff round for the eight qualifiers from the knockout round. The winning team was the Chinese national team (skipped by Wang Bingyu), which received CAD$14,000 in prize money. Cori Morris
Corinne "Cori" Morris (born June 21, 1971 as Corinne Bartel) is a Canadian curler from Calgary, Alberta. She played lead for the Olympic silver medal-winning Cheryl Bernard rink from 2005 to 2011. Currently, she plays lead for Susan O'Connor, another member of that team. Morris grew up in Lanigan, Saskatchewan. In 1998, Morris played in Ontario, and played in the provincial Scott Tournament of Hearts, as an alternate player for the Cheryl McBain team. She would later move to Alberta. Morris joined Bernard in 2005 after playing for Heather Rankin. She has since been to the 2007 and 2009 Scotties Tournament of Hearts as a member of that team. Lindsay Titheridge
Lindsay Nicole Warkentin (born Titheridge, November 8, 1982 in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a Canadian curler. She previously played lead for the Chelsea Carey team. Career As a junior curler, Warkentin represented Manitoba at the 1999 Canada Winter Games, and she won the Manitoba junior championship in 2001, playing second for Allison Nimik (Flaxey). Kristen Foster
Kristen Foster (born January 27, 1987 in Morden, Manitoba) is a Canadian curler. In 2003, Foster led her Morden Collegiate Institute team to a Manitoba High School championship. Foster had played with the Chelsea Carey rink since it formed in 2007. Since joining the rink, the team has won one Grand Slam event, the 2010 Manitoba Lotteries Women's Curling Classic and one provincial championship, the 2014 Manitoba Scotties Tournament of Hearts. The team has also played in three Canada Cups, in 2010, 2011 and 2012- finishing 2nd in 2011. The team also played in the 2013 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials, where they placed 4th. They won the bronze medal at the 2014 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Kristy Jenion
Kristy McDonald (born May 20, 1979 as Kristy Jenion) is a Canadian from Winnipeg, Manitoba. McDonald retired from 2016–2021, but returned to the playing for the 2021–22 season. Career Juniors McDonald had a strong junior career, skipping teams to win both the 1996 and 1999 Manitoba Junior Curling Championships. She would represent Manitoba in both of those years at the Canadian Junior Curling Championships. At the 1996 Canadian Juniors, her team which included Ainsley Holowec, Shea Westcott and Raunora Westcott finished with a 5–7 record at the Canadian Juniors. At the 1999 Canadian Juniors, her team was made up of Reagan Wilkie, Charmaine Forese and Kyla Denisuik. Chelsea Carey
Chelsea Danielle Carey (born September 12, 1984 in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a Canadian curler from Calgary, Alberta. She is the 2016 and 2019 Canadian and Alberta women's champion skip and 2014 Manitoba provincial women's champion skip. Career Earlier career Carey curled in six provincial junior championships, but did not win the event. She did win the 2000 Juvenile Provincial championship which she followed up with a silver medal at the 2001 Canadian Juvenile championship. She was also the Manitoba high school provincial champion in 2002. Carey has won a number of World Curling Tour (WCT) events including the 2005 Manitoba Lotteries Wheat City Curling Classic, the 2006 Interlake Pharmacy Classic (playing third for Barb Spencer in both events), and the Interlake Pharmacy Classic again in 2009, culminating with winning the 2009 Manitoba Curling Tour Championship.
