2009–10 Bayernliga
The 2009–10 season of the Bayernliga, the fifth tier of the German football league system in the state of Bavaria at the time, was the 65th season of the league. Overview The league champions, FC Memmingen, were directly promoted to the Regionalliga Süd. It was Memmingen's first-ever Bayernliga title, won after having played 43 seasons in the league. The bottom four clubs were directly relegated from the league while 15th placed SpVgg Ansbach had to enter the relegation round with the Landesliga runners-up where it ultimately lost to 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 and was relegated. Of the relegated clubs only VfL Frohnlach made an immediate return to the Bayernliga in the following season while SV Memmelsdorf returned to the league in 2012 when it was expanded from one to two divisions. 1. The Bayernliga (English: Bavarian league) is the highest amateur football league and the second highest football league (under the Regionalliga Bayern) in the state of Bavaria (german: Bayern) and the Bavarian football league system. It is one of fourteen Oberligas in German football, the fifth tier of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the fourth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the third tier. From the 2012–13 season onwards, the league has been divided once more into a northern and a southern division, having previously placed in single division format since 1963. FC Ismaning
FC Ismaning is a German association football club based in Ismaning by Munich, Bavaria. History The 700 member club was founded in March 1921 and played in lower-tier competition until the mid-90s when the footballers advanced for the first time to the Landesliga Bayern-Süd (V). Ismaning enjoyed its most successful season to date in 1999–2000 when it took the Landesliga title to move up to the Oberliga Bayern (IV) and also captured the Bavarian Cup. The regional cup win led to the side's participation in the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) tournament where it was put out by Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund (0–4) in the first round. The team has played in the fourth tier for seven seasons and earned three consecutive third-place results from 2003–2005. Landesliga Bayern-Süd
The Landesliga Bayern-Süd ( en, State League Bavaria-South) was the sixth tier of the German football league system in southern Bavaria. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga (Third League) in 2008, it was the fifth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the fourth tier. The winner of the Landesliga Süd was automatically qualified for the Bayernliga, while the runners-up needed to compete with the runners-up of Landesliga Bayern-Mitte and Landesliga Bayern-Nord and the 15th-placed team of the Bayernliga for another promotion spot. The league was disbanded in 2012, when the Regionalliga Bayern was introduced as the new fourth tier of the German league system in Bavaria. VfB Eichstätt
The VfB Eichstätt is a German association football club from the town of Eichstätt, Bavaria. Since 2017 it plays in the Regionalliga Bayern, the fourth tier of the German football league system and the highest league in Bavaria. Dietenhofen is a Municipalities of Germany, municipality in the district of Ansbach (district), Ansbach in Bavaria, Germany. Schwabach
Schwabach () is a German city of about 40,000 inhabitants near Nuremberg in the centre of the region of Franconia in the north of Bavaria. The city is an autonomous administrative district (''kreisfreie Stadt''). Schwabach is also the name of the river which runs through the city prior to joining the Rednitz. Schwabach is famous for its crafts made of gold, particularly gold foil. In 2004, Schwabach celebrated this tradition with an anniversary festival, marking "500 years gold foil in Schwabach". 2010–11 Regionalliga
The 2010–11 Regionalliga season was the seventeenth since its re-establishment after German reunification and the third as a fourth-level league within the German football league system. It was contested in three divisions with eighteen teams each. Team changes from 2009–10 Movement between 3. TSV Buchbach
TSV Buchbach is a German association football club from the village of Buchbach, Bavaria. The team is part of a larger sports club that also has departments for curling, gymnastics, skiing, and tennis. The footballers are distinguished as former holders of the German record for the longest undefeated streak, a string of 75 matches from 19 August 1995 to 23 May 1998. History ''TSV'' was founded in 1913 as a gymnastics club. Football was soon introduced to the club by students who brought the game back from Munich. SpVgg Bayern Hof is a German association football club based in Hof, Bavaria. The club was founded on 1 June 1910 as ''Ballspielclub Hof'', but within a year was renamed ''Britannia Hof''. In 1913, they merged with ''FC Roland Hof'' and ''FC Phoenix Hof'' to become ''FC Bayern Hof''. History ''FC Bayern Hof'' was a decent, but unremarkable, local side through its early decades. It spent five seasons in the tier-one ''Bezirksliga Bayern'' from 1927. In 1944, the team won promotion to the ''Gauliga Bayern'', Staffel Oberfranken, one of sixteen top flight division that had been created in 1933 in the re-organization of German football under the Third Reich. SpVgg Bayreuth is a German football club based in Bayreuth, Bavaria. Apart from coming within two games of earning promotion to the Bundesliga in 1979, the club also reached the quarter finals of the DFB-Pokal twice, in 1977 and 1980. FSV Erlangen-Bruck
The FSV Erlangen-Bruck is a German association football club from the suburb of Bruck in the city of Erlangen, Bavaria. History The club was formed on 15 May 1916, during the First World War, under the name of 1. FC Markt Bruck. For most of its existence, the football department played on local level in the Bavarian region of Middle Franconia. The club came close to ''Landesliga'' (IV) promotion when it finished second in the ''Bezirksliga Mittelfranken-Nord'' in 1971, after having been promoted to this league the year before.
