2008 Finnish League Cup
The 2008 Finnish League Cup was the 12th season of Finnish second most prestigious cup tournament. The competition started on 25 January 2008 and ended with the Final held on 12 April 2008. The defending champions FC Lahti lost in the semifinals, while last year's runners-up FC Inter eventually won the tournament. The Cup consisted of two stages. First there was group stage that involved 14 Veikkausliiga teams divided into two groups. Top 4 teams from each group entered the one-legged elimination rounds – quarterfinals, semifinals and the final. Group stage Every team played every other team of its group once, either home or away. Lahti
Lahti (; sv, Lahtis) is a city and municipality in Finland. It is the capital of the region of Päijänne Tavastia (Päijät-Häme) and its growing region is one of the main economic hubs of Finland. Lahden Stadion
Lahti Stadium ( fi, Lahden stadion) is a multi-use stadium in Lahti, Finland. In Winter the stadium is used in cross-country skiing and biathlon. In summer it is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of FC Lahti. The stadium holds 14,500 spectators and was built in 1981. Veritas Stadion
Veritas Stadion is an association football stadium in Turku, Finland. It is situated in the district of Kupittaa, in an area dedicated to sporting venues. The stadium serves as the home venue for FC Inter Turku and Turun Palloseura playing in Finland's premier football league, the ''Veikkausliiga''. The stadium underwent an expansion in 2009, when a stand with 1,644 seats was built to meet the demands for the UEFA Women's Euro 2009. Extra Time

Vaasan Palloseura
Vaasan Palloseura (or VPS) is a Finnish football club, based in Vaasa. It currently plays in the first tier of Finnish football (''Veikkausliiga''). The club's current manager is Jussi Nuorela. The club plays its home matches at Hietalahti. VPS played twice in the UEFA Cup in 1998–99 and in 1999–00, but were knocked out in the 2nd Qualifying Round by Grazer AK of Austria and in the 1st Qualifying Round by St Johnstone of Scotland.
