The 2007 SCSA Season was the 7th season of United Kingdom-based NASCAR style stock car racing, originally known as ASCAR. Teams and drivers Race calendar All races were held at the Rockingham Motor Speedway in Corby, Northamptonshire. The season consisted of five meetings of two races each. The grid for the opening race of each meeting was set by a qualifying session with the second race grid being set by the finishing order of the first. Hunter Abbott is a British racing driver and business man (born in Windsor, 4 December 1980). He has raced sportscars, GT cars and Touring Cars. He was 2017 Blancpain GT Series Asia Champion and won the RAC Trophy after victory in the 2021 Silverstone 500 race. He is founder, owner and Managing Director of AlcoSense Laboratories, which designs, develops and manufactures alcohol breathalysers under the AlcoSense brand name. Carl Boardley (born 7 December 1975) is an English motor-racing driver, and four time National Hot Rods (oval racing) World Champion. On 5 July 2009 he won the National Hot Rod World Championship for his fourth World title in a row. His younger brother Stuart is a former professional footballer. Rockingham Motor Speedway
Rockingham Motor Speedway is a former racing motorsport venue in Rockingham, Northamptonshire, England, United Kingdom, near the town of Corby. It hosted professional and club races, as well as testing, track days, driver training, exhibitions and conferences. It claimed to be Europe's fastest racing circuit, and was the first banked oval constructed in Britain since the closure of Brooklands in 1939. Corby
Corby is a town in North Northamptonshire, England, located north-east of Northampton. From 1974 to 2021, the town served as the administrative headquarters of the Borough of Corby. At the 2011 Census, the built-up area had a population of 56,810, while the borough, which was abolished in 2021, had a population of 75,571 in 2021. Stock car racing in the United Kingdom covers a number of different oval racing formulas. Contact is allowed in UK stock car racing, that is, if you are unable to pass an opponent using speed alone, you are allowed to push or hit your opponent in order to pass.
