2001–02 Segunda División
The 2001–02 Segunda División season saw 22 teams participate in the second flight Spanish league. The teams that promoted to La Liga were Atlético Madrid, Racing de Santander and Recreativo de Huelva. The teams that relegated to Segunda División B were Burgos CF, Gimnàstic de Tarragona, CF Extremadura and Real Jaén. Teams # Racing Ferrol played some of their matches at Lugo's Anxo Carro Stadium. # Xerez played some of their matches at El Palmar and Juventud. # Polideportivo Ejdio played the match against Numancia at Almeria's Juan Rojas Stadium on 27 October 2001. # Recreativo de Huelva played their first six home matches at the Estadio Colombino before permanently moving to the Estadio Nuevo Colombino. Club Deportivo Leganés, S.A.D. is a professional football club based in Leganés, Community of Madrid. They currently compete in La Liga, the first tier of the Spanish league system. Leganés was officially founded 23 June 1928 and played their first season in the 6th division of Spanish football. The club's stadium, the Estadio Municipal Butarque, was built in 1998, after moving from the Luis Rodríguez de Miguel, a stadium they had played in since 1966. Estadio Carlos Belmonte
Estadio Carlos Belmonte is a multi-purpose stadium in Albacete, Spain. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Albacete Balompié. History The stadium holds 17,524 and was built in 1960. It replaced the ageing Campo del Parque and was inaugurated on 9 September 1960 with a match against Sevilla FC, which attended more than 12,000 people. It had an initial capacity of 10,000. Floodlights were added in 1970 and a cover over the west side in 1979. The lighting towers also were constructed in 1970s. Following promotion to La Primera in 1991, the east side of the ground was developed with the building of a twin-decked cantilevered stand.
