Club Deportivo Leganés, S.A.D. is a football club based in Leganés, Community of Madrid, Spain, that currently competes in Segunda División, the second tier of the Spanish league system. The Estadio Municipal de Butarque is a multi-use stadium located in Leganés, Spain. It is currently used for football matches and is the home stadium of CD Leganés. History and characteristics The stadium shares its name (Butarque) with that of the main water stream passing through Leganés (), with that of the patron saint of the municipality, and with that of a public park in the stadium's surroundings. Ultras are a type of association football fans who are renowned for their fanatical support. The term originated in Italy, but is used worldwide to describe predominantly organised fans of association football teams. The behavioural tendency of ultras groups includes their use of flares (primarily in tifo choreography), vocal support in large groups and the displaying of banners at football stadiums, all of which are designed to create an atmosphere which encourages their own team and intimidates the opposing players and their supporters.
