Monarchy Of Norway
The Norwegian monarch is the head of state of Norway, which is a constitutional and hereditary monarchy with a parliamentary system. The Norwegian monarchy can trace its line back to the reign of Harald Fairhair and the previous petty kingdoms which were united to form Norway; it has been in unions with both Sweden and Denmark for long periods. The present monarch is King Harald V, who has reigned since 17 January 1991, succeeding his father, Olav V. The heir apparent is his only son, Crown Prince Haakon. The crown prince undertakes various public ceremonial functions, as does the king's wife, Queen Sonja. The crown prince also acts as regent in the king's absence. 1927 World Figure Skating Championships
The World Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union in which figure skaters compete for the title of World Champion. Men's competitions took place from February 5th to 6th in Davos, Switzerland. Ladies' competitions took place from February 19th to 20th in Oslo, Norway. Pairs' competitions took place from February 22nd to 23rd in Vienna, Austria. Results Men Judges: * Kurt Dannenberg * Eduard Engelmann jr. * Josef Fellner * Fritz Kachler * J. G. Künzli * T. D. Richardson * Artur Vieregg Ladies Szabo retired after she was defeated by Sonja Henie of Norway. This result was controversial because the judging panel consisted of three Norwegians, a German, and an Austrian. The three Norwegian judges placed Henie first, while the German and Austrian judges placed Szabo first.

Marie Borge Refsum
Marie Borge Refsum (20 March 1927 – 16 February 2023) was a Norwegian politician, who served as a member of the Conservative Party. Refsum served as a deputy representative to the Norwegian Parliament from Akershus during the term 1973–1977. On the local level, she was a member of the executive committee of Asker municipal council, having been elected in the so-called "women's coup" where four women ( Tove Billington Bye, Berit Ås, Marie Borge Refsum and Kari Bjerke Andreassen) led a successful campaign to get women elected to the municipal council. Refsum died on 16 February 2023, at the age of 95. Gunnar Vada
Gunnar Vada (16 March 1927 – 14 June 2018) was a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. Life and career Gunnar Vada was born in Beitstad on 16 March 1927. Vada was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Nord-Trøndelag in 1977, and was re-elected on one occasion. He served as a deputy representative during the terms 1973–1977 and 1985–1989. Leif Kolflaath
Leif Kolflaath (17 February 1927 – 15 December 2001) was a Norwegian politician from the Conservative Party. He was born in Narvik. Kolflaath, who belonged to Nordland, was never elected directly to the Norwegian Parliament but served as a deputy representative in the periods 1961–1965, 1965–1969 and 1969–1973. Odd Blomdal
Odd Emil Blomdal (30 January 1927 – 27 September 2015) was a Norwegian judge and civil servant. He took the cand.jur. degree in 1952, and later took a military education as well as further education in political science and public law. He was a lecturer at the Norwegian Military Academy from 1966 to 1978, presiding judge in the Hålogaland Court of Appeal from 1978 to 1980 and Judge Advocate General for the Norwegian Armed Forces from 1980 to 1988. From 1988 he was a presiding judge in the Eidsivating Court of Appeal. He was then Norway's Governor of Svalbard between 1991 and 1995. Torvild Aakvaag
Torvild Aakvaag (27 January 1927 – 9 April 2020) was a Norwegian businessperson. He was born in Bærum, and was a cand.jur. by education. He was employed in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1951 to 1956, but left for a career in Norsk Hydro. He was promoted to head of the judicial department in 1967, and head of the petroleum department in 1970. He advanced to become assisting director-general in 1977, and director-general (CEO) in 1984.
