Çiljeta Xhilaga (born 5 February 1985), also known mononymously as Çiljeta, is an Albanian singer, model and actress. Biography Çiljeta was born into an Albanian family in Tirana, Albania, to Ferdinand Xhilaga, an accountant whose family hails from Dibër (municipality), Dibër but who was born in Delvinë, and Majlinda Xhilaga, a hairdresser, from Korçë. She attended the Sami Frashëri High School in Tirana. Career as model Xhilaga featured in the Miss Shqipëria competition in 2001 and won the title "Miss Cinema". Career as singer Çiljeta distinguished herself in the successful song Dridhe ( en, Shake it), a collaboration with Getoar Selimi of Tingulli 3nt, a rap group from Kosovo. Alban Bekim Hoxha (; born 23 November 1987) is an Albanian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Albanian club Partizani and the Albania national team. Club career Dinamo Tirana Hoxha started youth football at age of 6 and was raised through the ranks at his hometown team Turbina before joining the youth team of Dinamo Tirana in 2004. ''Dancing with the Stars'' is an Albanian dance competition television series that premiered on 18 February 2010 on Vizion Plus and Tring Digital. It is the Albanian version of the British series ''Strictly Come Dancing'', and one of several iterations of the ''Dancing with the Stars'' franchise. The show pairs celebrities with professional dancers. Each couple performs predetermined dances and competes against the others for judges' points and audience votes. The couple receiving the lowest combined total of judges' points and audience votes is eliminated each week until only the champion dance pair remains. The show aired until 8 June 2018 on Vizion Plus and Tring Digital. Preševo ( sr-cyrl, Прешево; sq, Preshevë, ) is a town and municipality located in the Pčinja District of southern Serbia. 2023 Albanian Local Elections
Local elections were held on 14 May 2023 in Albania. Mayors and municipal council seats were being elected in each of Albania's 61 municipalities. Background The 2019 Albanian local elections were boycotted, leading to the Socialists running uncontested in 31 municipalities. Only Shkodër and Finiq were won by opposition candidates, with all other mayors being candidates of the Socialist Party. According to official figures, turnout in 2019 was 22.97% or 812,249 people. Lulzim Basha (; born 12 June 1974) is an Albanian politician who served as the chairman of the Democratic Party of Albania, the main opposition party, from 2013 to March 21, 2022 when he stepped down from the leadership of the party.
