Background

''Panelák'' originally aired for fifteen seasons from 18 February 2008 until 17 June 2015 as a daily series, becoming the longest-running television show in Slovak history. In 2017, it was brought back for one more season upon its fifteenth anniversary, from 29 March until 30 August. The soap opera is loosely connected to the earlier Slovak series ''Susedia'' (Neighbours), broadcast by
