Slávka Halčáková (born 20 December 1974) is a Slovak actress. Biography Slávka Halčáková was born on 20 December 1974 in Dunajská Streda. As a child, she competed in reciting poetry. She studied acting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. After graduation, she performed at the Slovak National Theatre and other theatres in Bratislava. She wrote, directed and acted in her own play, called ''The essence of a wild woman'' at the L+S Theatre. As a movie actress, she premiered in the movie ''Blue Heaven'' (1997), directed by Eva Borušovičová. She also starred in Borušovičová's next movie ''Love me if you Dare'' (2001), ''Polčas rozpadu'' (2007) directed by Vlado Fischer and Juraj Nvota's Hostage (2014). Dunajská Streda
Dunajská Streda (; ; ) is a town located in southern Slovakia ( Trnavský kraj). Dunajská Streda is the most culturally significant town in the Žitný ostrov area. The town has a population of 22,730, with ethnic Hungarians forming the 72% majority. Name The name of ''Syridahel'' was first mentioned in 1256. Other early written forms of the name were ''Zeredahely'' (1270) and ''Zredahel'' (1358). Szerdahely means "Wednesday (market)place" in Hungarian and it indicates the town had the privilege to hold a market on Wednesdays (although it was later changed to Fridays). The Hungarian word ''szerda'' is a loanword from Slavic languages; the word ''streda'' means Wednesday in Slovak, with related words existing in other Slavic languages, meaning the middle (''stred'') day in the week. Panelák is a Slovak daily television series that aired from 2008 until 2017 on TV JOJ. In Slovak language, Slovak, ''panelák'' means "block of flats". The soap opera follows the lives of a group of people living in an apartment building. Background ''Panelák'' originally aired for fifteen seasons from 18 February 2008 until 17 June 2015 as a daily series, becoming the longest-running television show in Slovak history. In 2017, it was brought back for one more season upon its fifteenth anniversary, from 29 March until 30 August. The soap opera is loosely connected to the earlier Slovak series ''Susedia'' (Neighbours), broadcast by Markíza from 2006 until 2007, and later rebooted in 2018.
