Stine Jørgensen
Stine Østergaard Jørgensen (born 3 September 1990) is a Danish handball player for København Håndbold. She was the team captain of the national team and participated at the 2011 World Women's Handball Championship in Brazil. In May 2020, she announced her retirement from the Danish national team. Club career She started playing handball at the age of 5 years, for her hometown Dronninglund. When she was 16 years old, she moved to the Danish top club Aalborg DH, where she also represented the youth team. In Aalborg DH, she received silver in the Danish Women's Handball League in 2009. She moved to FC Midtjylland Håndbold in the summer 2013, after Aalborg DH dealt with economic problems and went bankrupt. She participated at the 2013–14 EHF Women's Champions League Final Four and won several titles and merits in the Danish League and the Danish Women's Handball Cup, Danish Cup. Danish Women's Handball Cup
The Danish Women's Handball Cup (), known as the Santander Cup for sponsorship reasons, is the main domestic cup tournament for Danish women's handball clubs, which is partially organised and supervised by the Danish Handball Federation. The competition has been played annually since 1964. Tournament structure The initial fase of the tournament is split in two. They are managed by the three regional federations, Jydsk Håndbold Forbund (JHF) in Jutland, and Håndboldregion Øst (HRØ) in Sealand together with Fyns Håndbold Forbund (FHF) in fyn. The western half of the initial tournament lasts 7 rounds, while the eastern half lasts 6 round. After the initial fase the DHF taking over the tournament at the round of 16. At the round of 16 and onwards, there are no longer geographical considerations, when drawing the matches. The 2019–20 Damehåndboldligaen (known as ''HTH Ligaen'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 84th season of Damehåndboldligaen, Denmark's premier handball league. Team Esbjerg were the defending champions and HH Elite were promoted from the 1. division. The season was disrupted due to the covid-19 pandemic. On March 11th 2020, the Danish Handball Federation decided to cancel all matches at all levels the following 14 days. On April 7th it was decided that the season would be declared over without playing the championship play-off or the remaining matches in the regular season and declare the leading team the champion.
