2014–15 Damehåndboldligaen
The 2014–15 Damehåndboldligaen (known as the ''Boxer Dameligaen'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 79th season of the Danish Women's Handball League, Damehåndboldligaen, Denmark's premier Handball league. The reigning champions were Viborg HK. FCM Håndbold, FC Midtjylland won the title, when they beat Team Esbjerg in the final. Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub were relegated, when they finished last in the regular season. In April Skive fH decided to withdraw their team from the league, and was therefore administratively relegated. Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub, Nykøbing Falster were relegated as well, when they finished last in the regular season. Danish Women's Handball League
The Kvindeligaen () is the top professional league for Danish women's handball clubs. It is administered by the Danish Handball Federation, and the winners are recognized as Danish champions. The league was previously called Bambusa Kvindeligaen for sponsorship reasons. It has previously been known as HTH GO Ligaen, Primo Tours Ligaen, Boxer Dameligaen, TOMS Ligaen and GuldBageren Ligaen. The current title holder is Team Esbjerg (2024). The European Handball Federation (EHF) ranks the Danish league 4th in the coefficients of leagues based on performances in European competitions over the past seasons. Frederiksberghallen is an indoor sports arena in Copenhagen, Denmark primarily used for Team handball, handball. Sportsklub Aarhus was a Danish women's handball club based in Aarhus. They played in Danish Women's Handball League, Damehåndboldligaen when the team closed after the 2016–17 Damehåndboldligaen, 2016-17 season because of financial issues. Aarhus United took over their licence for the league. SK Aarhus has previously also included basketball and volleyball. History The club was founded in 2000. SK Aarhus had consistently been at the bottom of Danish Women's Handball League, Damehåndboldligaen and were relegated to 1. division after the 2004-05 season. Ringkøbing Håndbold
Ringkøbing Håndbold (Ringkøbing Handball) is a Danish handball club from Ringkøbing. In the season 2023/24 the club played in the Danish Women's Handball League. When they played in the Danish 1st division, they reached the promotion play-off three times in a row in 2008/09, 2009/10 and 2010/11, but they did not manage to be promoted. In 2013 a week before the beginning of the 2013/2014 season, the top flight club Aalborg DH went bankrupt and was thus administratively relegated. Ringkøbing Håndbold were offered to take their place, which they accepted. Ringkøbing Håndbold played six seasons in the top flight before being relegated in 2018/2019 season. The next season promotion was just missed, when the club came second in the 1st division. However, in the 2020/2021 season they did win the 1st Division and thus promoted once again to the top flight. København Håndbold is a Danish women's handball club from Copenhagen, Denmark. It was established in the winter of 2013. It took over the league licence from Frederiksberg IF and is playing in the Bambusa Kvindeligaen. The club is owned by Kim Mikkelsen. History The company behind the club was founded on January 24, 2013, and on February 16th they took over the licence of Frederiksberg IF, allowing them to play in the Danish Women's Handball League. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball, Olympic handball or indoor handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the opposing team.
