Srećko Lisinac
Srećko Lisinac ( sr-Cyrl, Срећко Лисинац; born 17 May 1992) is a Serbian professional volleyball player who plays as a middle blocker for the Serbia national team. Career Club In the 2013–14 Bundesliga season, Lisinac won the German Champion title with Berlin Recycling Volleys. In 2014, he moved to PGE Skra Bełchatów, where he spent 4 seasons. On 8 October 2014, his team won the Polish SuperCup. On 7 February 2016, they won the Polish Cup and Lisinac himself was named the ''Best blocker'' of the tournament. In his final season with Skra, he won his second Polish SuperCup and the 2017–18 PlusLiga, besting ZAKSA on both occasions. In 2018, Lisinac moved to Italy and joined Trentino Volley. After five seasons in Italy, Lisinac signed with Projekt Warsaw and returned to Poland for the 2023–24 PlusLiga season. 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship
The 2018 FIVB Men's Club World Championship was the 14th edition of the tournament. It was held in Poland for the second straight time from 26 November to 2 December 2018. Eight teams competed in the tournament, including four wild cards. In an all-Italian final Trentino Volley defeated Cucine Lube Civitanova and won the title for the fifth time. Russia's Fakel Novy Urengoy claimed the bronze medal by defeating Poland's Asseco Resovia in the 3rd place match. Aaron Russell from Trentino Volley was elected the Most Valuable Player. FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship
The FIVB Men's Volleyball Club World Championship is an international men's club volleyball competition organised by the ''Fédération Internationale de Volleyball'' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The competition was first contested in 1989 in Italy. It was not held between 1993 and 2008, but since 2009, the competition has been held every year, and has been hosted by Qatar and Brazil except in 2017 and 2018 where both hosted by Poland. The current champions are Brazil's Sada Cruzeiro, who defeated Italy's Trentino Itas (3–1) in the final of the 2024 and won their fifth title of the competition. The CEV Champions League is the top official competition for men's volleyball clubs from the whole of Europe. The competition is organised every year by the European Volleyball Confederation. Formula (2018–19 to present) Qualification A total of 20 teams participate in the main competition, with 18 teams being allocated direct vacancies on the basis of ranking list for European Cup Competitions, and 2 teams from the qualification rounds. Maxwell Holt
Maxwell Philip Holt (born March 12, 1987) is an American professional volleyball player who plays as a middle blocker for Beijing BAIC Motor of the Chinese league and the U.S. national team. Holt was a bronze medalist at the 2016 and 2024 Summer Olympics, and won gold medals in the 2014 World League, 2015 World Cup, and 2023 World Cup. Career National team Holt was a member of the U.S. Junior Men's National Team from 2005–2007. He played in the Four Nations Tournament in 2005, the NORCECA Men's Junior Continental Championship in 2006, and the FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship where the team finished seventh. Holt joined the National Team in 2009, debuting in the Pan American Cup. In September 2013, the U.S. twam, including Holt, won the NORCECA Championship. The France national men's volleyball team represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. It was the reigning European Champion in 2015 and is ranked 3rd (as of 1 January 2023) in the FIVB World Rankings, FIVB world ranking. 2023–24 PlusLiga
The 2023–24 PlusLiga was the 88th season of the Polish Volleyball Championship, the 71st season of the highest tier domestic division in the Polish volleyball league system since its establishment in 1954, and the 24th season as a professional league. The league is operated by the Polish Volleyball League SA (). This season was composed of 16 teams, including the Ukrainian team of Barkom-Kazhany Lviv. The regular season was played as a round-robin tournament. Each team played a total of 30 matches, half at home and half away. The season started on 20 October 2023 and concluded on 28 April 2024.
