2023–24 PlusLiga
The 2023–24 PlusLiga was the 88th season of the Polish Volleyball Championship, the 71st season of the highest tier domestic division in the Polish volleyball league system since its establishment in 1954, and the 24th season as a professional league. The league is operated by the Polish Volleyball League SA (). This season was composed of 16 teams, including the Ukrainian team of Barkom-Kazhany Lviv. The regular season was played as a round-robin tournament. Each team played a total of 30 matches, half at home and half away. The season started on 20 October 2023 and concluded on 28 April 2024. Jastrzębski Węgiel won their 4th title of the Polish Champions, beating Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie in the finals. PlusLiga
The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 14 teams league from October to April/May. The regular season is followed by playoffs, with the winner earning the Polish Championship (). It is one of the best volleyball leagues in Europe, being highly ranked in the international competitions. The league in its current form was founded in 2000 and was originally known as Polska Liga Siatkówki ''(Polish Volleyball League)''. Since 2008 it is named PlusLiga after a mobile phone network brand, Plus. Luke Perry (born 20 November 1995) is an Australian professional volleyball player who plays as a libero for Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie and the Australia national team. Career He began playing volleyball in 2009 for his school. In late 2012, he accepted a scholarship to the AIS (Australian Institute of Sport), in Canberra, where he began training full-time in volleyball. In 2013, he was selected as part of the Volleyroos. Bartosz Kwolek
Bartosz Kwolek (born 17 July 1997) is a Polish professional volleyball player who plays as an outside hitter for Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie and the Poland national team. Career Club He made his debut in the Polish PlusLiga as a player of AZS Politechnika Warszawska in 2016. National team On 12 April 2015 the Polish national U19 team, including Kwolek, won a title of the CEV U19 European Champions. They beat Italy in the final (3–1). He was named the ''Most valuable player'' of the tournament. He took part in European Youth Olympic Festival with Polish national U19 team. The 2024–25 CEV Challenge Cup was the 45th edition of the third tier European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. The CEV Cup is the second tier official competition for men's Volleyball clubs of Europe. The competition takes place every year. Until 2000, it was the CEV Cup Winners' Cup. The 2024–25 CEV Champions League is the 66th edition of the highest level European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. Czarni Radom
WKS Czarni Radom, officially known for sponsorship reasons as Enea Czarni Radom, is a professional men's volleyball team based in Radom in central Poland. Founded in 1921 as a football club, the club had many sections in the past, however since 1997 only the volleyball section has remained. Czarni Radom team won the Polish Men's Volleyball Cup, Polish Cup in 1999 and two PlusLiga, Polish Championship bronze medals in 1994 and 1995. The club ceased to exist in 2003 and was reactivated in 2007. In 2013, after 11 years of absence, the team was finally promoted to PlusLiga. KS Norwid Częstochowa
KS Norwid Częstochowa, officially known for sponsorship reasons as Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa, is a professional men's volleyball team from Częstochowa, which is also a section of the youth sports club, run at the 9th Cyprian K. Norwid High School in Częstochowa. In 2004–2012 the team performed under the name KS Delic-Pol Norwid Częstochowa. Since 2013, the team has been named Exact Systems Norwid Częstochowa.
