René Botteron
René "Bobo" Botteron (born 17 October 1954) is a Switzerland, Swiss former Association football, football midfielder who played for various clubs in Switzerland, Germany and Belgium throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Career Botteron started his professional career at FC Zürich in 1972 and won three Swiss Super League, League Titles and three Schweizer Cup, Swiss Cups before he left in 1980 to join the 1. FC Köln side of the early 1980s, where he played alongside the likes of Dieter Müller, Bernd Schuster, Tony Woodcock (footballer), Tony Woodcock, Rainer Bonhof, Bernhard Cullmann, Klaus Fischer, Klaus Allofs and Stephan Engels. He had a short spell at Standard Liège in 1982, where he helped the side reach the final of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup only to be defeated by FC Barcelona, before signing for 1. FC Nürnberg. Tony Woodcock (footballer)
Anthony Stewart Woodcock (born 6 December 1955) is an English retired international footballer who played professionally in both England and Germany as a striker for Nottingham Forest, FC Köln and Arsenal. Woodcock won the European Cup (now known as the UEFA Champions League) in 1979 with Nottingham Forest. Club career Early career Born in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire, Woodcock trained with Alan and Steve Buckley as a child, coached by their father, and played for Priory Celtic. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. An early illustration of the first international football match between Scotland and England in 1872 shows the Scottish players wearing cowls, and the English wearing a variety of school caps. The Challenge League (known as the Dieci Challenge League for sponsorship reasons) is the second-highest tier of the Swiss football league system and lower of two professional leagues in the country. Ten teams play in the Challenge League; the winners of the league are promoted to the Swiss Super League, Super League, while the bottom-placed team is relegated to the Promotion League. Stephan Engels (born 6 September 1960) is a German former professional football player and manager, who played as a midfielder. In the West German top-flight he scored 39 goals in 236 matches. Klaus Allofs (born 5 December 1956) is a German former professional football player, manager, and executive. A striker, Allofs was a prolific goalscorer for club and country.
