Poznań–Krzesiny Airbase
The 31st Air Base (), commonly known as Poznań-Krzesiny Airport is a Polish Air Force base and military airport, located in Krzesiny, part of the Nowe Miasto district of Poznań. The base was officially constituted on 31 December 2000, and since then has been the home base for the 3rd Tactical Squadron. It was the first base to host Polish F-16 fighters. History In 1941, during its occupation of Poznań, Nazi Germany built an aircraft factory at Krzesiny (German: ''Luftwaffenfliegerhorst Kreising''), along with an airfield to service it. The factory, run by Focke-Wulf, was a target for Allied bombers in the course of the war, on 29 May 1944 for Eighth Air Force. On 22 January 1945 the airfield was captured by Red Army and taken over by the Red Army Air Force. Nowe Miasto, Poznań
Nowe Miasto (; "New Town") is a part of the city of Poznań in western Poland. It was one of the five governmental districts ''(dzielnicas)'' into which the city was divided prior to 1990, and which are retained for certain administrative purposes. Nowe Miasto consists of those parts of the city which lie on the right (east) bank of the Warta river. Air traffic control (ATC) is a service provided by ground-based air traffic controllers who direct aircraft on the ground and through a given section of controlled airspace, and can provide advisory services to aircraft in non-controlled airspace. The primary purpose of ATC is to prevent collisions, organise and expedite the flow of traffic in the air, and provide information and other support for pilots. Sky Airlines
Sky Airlines was an airline which operated chartered flights. It was based in Antalya, Turkey, operating on behalf of tour operators on short and medium haul routes into Turkey. History The company was established in 2000 and started operations in 2001. It was wholly owned by Kayi Group. In 2010, the airline started scheduled domestic operations in Turkey making it the 9th airline to enter the domestic market. Poznań–Ławica Airport
Poznań–Ławica Henryk Wieniawski Airport , built in 1913, is one of the oldest airports in Poland. It is located west of Poznań city centre. It takes its name from the neighborhood of Ławica, part of the city's Poznań–Grunwald, Grunwald district, while the airport actually lies in the Poznań–Jeżyce, Jeżyce district. Synopsis The northern section has been used as a military airport since its inception in 1913 as an German Empire, Imperial German airbase until 23 December 2009. 31st Tactical Air Base
The 31st Tactical Air Base (Polish: 31 Baza Lotnictwa Taktycznego – 31 BLT) is the biggest military unit of the Polish Air Force. The unit was created in 2008 as a result of fusion of three previous units: 31st Air Base, 3rd Tactical Squadron and 6th Tactical Squadron.
