Paul Maher (Moyne–Templetuohy Hurler)
Paul Maher (born 8 November 1994) is an Irish hurler who plays for Tipperary Intermediate Championship club Moyne–Templetuohy and at inter-county level with the Tipperary senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a goalkeeper. Playing career University of Limerick On 11 March 2015, Maher lined out in goal for the University of Limerick when they faced Waterford Institute of Technology in the Fitzgibbon Cup final replay. UL secured a 2-18 to 1-14 victory. Moyne-Templetuohy Maher joined the Moyne–Templetuohy club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels. On 2 November 2014, Maher lined out in goal when Moyne–Templetuohy faced Thurles Sarsfields in the final of the Tipperary Intermediate Championship. Moyne–Templetuohy won by 1-18 to 0-10. Moyne–Templetuohy GAA
Moyne–Templetuohy GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club that is centred on the adjoining Civil parishes in Ireland, parishes of Templetouhy (civil parish), Templetuohy and Moyne, County Tipperary, Moyne in County Tipperary, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. As part of Tipperary GAA, the club participates in hurling and Gaelic football leagues and championships of the Board's "Mid Tipperary" division. It also participates in the county-wide competitions. While several sports are played, hurling is predominant in the club. History Shortly after the foundation of the GAA in 1884, separate clubs were formed in Moyne and Templetuohy. Moyne's hurlers defeated Tullaroan GAA, Tullaroan (of Kilkenny GAA, Kilkenny) in Johnstown, County Kilkenny, Johnstown by 2-2 to nil in the club's first known match in 1887. 2016 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship
The 2016 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 86th staging of the All-Ireland hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. It is the primary inter-county hurling championship for boys under the age of eighteen. The championship began on 6 April 2016 and ended on 4 September 2016. Galway GAA, Galway entered the championship as the 2015 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship, defending champions, however, they were beaten by Tipperary GAA, Tipperary in the All-Ireland semi-final. On 4 September 2016 Tipperary won the championship following a 1-21 to 0-17 defeat of Limerick GAA, Limerick in the All-Ireland final.
