Paul Maher (Moyne–Templetuohy Hurler)
Paul Maher (born 8 November 1994) is an Irish hurler who plays for Tipperary Intermediate Championship club Moyne–Templetuohy and at inter-county level with the Tipperary senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a goalkeeper. Playing career University of Limerick On 11 March 2015, Maher lined out in goal for the University of Limerick when they faced Waterford Institute of Technology in the Fitzgibbon Cup final replay. UL secured a 2-18 to 1-14 victory. Moyne-Templetuohy Maher joined the Moyne–Templetuohy club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels. On 2 November 2014, Maher lined out in goal when Moyne–Templetuohy faced Thurles Sarsfields in the final of the Tipperary Intermediate Championship. Moyne–Templetuohy won by 1-18 to 0-10. Moyne–Templetuohy GAA
Moyne–Templetuohy GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club that is centred on the adjoining Civil parishes in Ireland, parishes of Templetouhy (civil parish), Templetuohy and Moyne, County Tipperary, Moyne in County Tipperary, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. As part of Tipperary GAA, the club participates in hurling and Gaelic football leagues and championships of the Board's "Mid Tipperary" division. It also participates in the county-wide competitions. While several sports are played, hurling is predominant in the club. History Shortly after the foundation of the GAA in 1884, separate clubs were formed in Moyne and Templetuohy. 2016 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship
The 2016 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 86th staging of the All-Ireland hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. It is the primary inter-county hurling championship for boys under the age of eighteen. The championship began on 6 April 2016 and ended on 4 September 2016. Galway GAA, Galway entered the championship as the 2015 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship, defending champions, however, they were beaten by Tipperary GAA, Tipperary in the All-Ireland semi-final. 2019 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship
The 2019 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship (SHC) was the 132nd staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament, since its establishment in 1887. The draw for the 2019 fixtures took place on 11 October 2018. The championship began on 11 May 2019 and concluded on 18 August 2019. The defending champion was Limerick. Carlow returned to the Leinster SHC for the first time since 2016, replacing Offaly who were relegated in 2018. Carlow lost all their four games in 2019 and were automatically relegated to the 2020 Joe McDonagh Cup. Tipperary won the competition, defeating Kilkenny in the final. National Hurling League
The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into five divisions, with seven teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. Although primarily a competition for Irish teams, teams from England – currently Lancashire GAA, Lancashire, London GAA, London and Warwickshire – also take part, while in the past New York GAA, New York also fielded a team for the latter stages of the league. The 2019 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final, the 132nd event of its kind and the culmination of the 2019 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, was played at Croke Park in Dublin on 18 August 2019. The match was televised live on RTÉ2 as part of ''The Sunday Game'' presented by Joanne Cantwell from the Croke Park studio with analysis by Anthony Daly, Donal Óg Cusack and Henry Shefflin. 2018 National Hurling League
The 2018 National Hurling League was the 87th season of the National Hurling League for county teams. Wexford finished top of Division 1B in 2017 and were promoted to Division 1A for 2018. Galway finished second in Division 1B in 2017 and so missed out on promotion, even though they subsequently won the Division 1 league final. Cavan re-entered the National Hurling League in Division 3B, having previously withdrawn. Lancashire also entered in Division 3B for the first time.
