Moyne–Templetuohy GAA
Moyne–Templetuohy GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club that is centred on the adjoining Civil parishes in Ireland, parishes of Templetouhy (civil parish), Templetuohy and Moyne, County Tipperary, Moyne in County Tipperary, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. As part of Tipperary GAA, the club participates in hurling and Gaelic football leagues and championships of the Board's "Mid Tipperary" division. It also participates in the county-wide competitions. While several sports are played, hurling is predominant in the club. History Shortly after the foundation of the GAA in 1884, separate clubs were formed in Moyne and Templetuohy. Moyne's hurlers defeated Tullaroan GAA, Tullaroan (of Kilkenny GAA, Kilkenny) in Johnstown, County Kilkenny, Johnstown by 2-2 to nil in the club's first known match in 1887. Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship
The Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the FBD Insurance Tipperary County Senior Hurling Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Tipperary GAA, Tipperary County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1887 for the top hurling teams in the County Tipperary, county of Tipperary in Ireland. The Tipperary Senior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association club competition between the top Gaelic football clubs in Tipperary. The winners of the Tipperary Championship qualify to represent their county in the Munster Senior Club Football Championship, the winners of which advance to the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. Elias O'Keeffe
Elias "Bud" O'Keeffe (born 1886) was an Irish hurler and Gaelic footballer who played for the Tipperary senior teams. Paul Maher (born 8 November 1994) is an Irish hurler who plays for Tipperary Intermediate Championship club Moyne–Templetuohy and at inter-county level with the Tipperary senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a goalkeeper. Tomás Hamill (born 1 May 1994) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Moyne–Templetuohy and with the Tipperary senior inter-county team since 2013. Fr. Thomas Fogarty (born 1951) is a Roman Catholic priest and former hurler who played as a left corner-back at senior level for the Tipperary county team. Born in Templetuohy, County Tipperary, Fogarty first played competitive hurling in his youth. attended Thurles CBS, and trained for the priesthood at St. Patrick's College, Thurles and was ordained for the Diocese of Cashel and Emly. Jim Fogarty (hurler)
James Fogarty (born 1950) is an Irish former hurler. At club level he played with Moyne–Templetuohy and was also a member of the Tipperary senior hurling team. Career Fogarty first played hurling at juvenile and underage levels with Moyne–Templetuohy. He progressed onto the club's senior team and captained the side to the Tippearry SHC title in 1971. Fogarty first appeared on the inter-county scene for Tipperary at minor and under-21 levels, however, his underage career ended without success as Cork was the dominant team at the time. Michael Cowan (1948 – 10 May 2010) was an Irish hurler who played as a left wing-forward for the Tipperary senior team. John Coghlan (born 6 January 1989) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Moyne–Templetuohy and with the Tipperary senior inter-county team.
