Ornö
Ornö is the largest island in the southern half of the Stockholm archipelago, situated just north of the island of Utö. It belongs to the municipality of Haninge. The island is approx. 15 km long and 3–4 km wide. The primary connection with the mainland, a car ferry line, is operated by ''Ornö Sjötrafik''. This is a community owned company. The ferry goes between Dalarö on the mainland and ''Hässelmara'' on north-western Ornö. There are some 300 people living on the island all year round. During summer, the number of people on the island multiplies. Each year by the end of may, the largest sailing competition in the Stockholm archipelago takes place around the island. It is called the ''Ornö runt'' or ''Around the island of Ornö'' and is open to anyone who registers for the race. There are several classes in which to enter including a family friendly class. The Stockholm Archipelago Trail is a hiking path network spanning approximately 270 kilometers (170 miles) across 20 islands of the Stockholm Archipelago in Sweden. The Stockholm Archipelago () is the largest archipelago in Sweden, and the second-largest archipelago in the Baltic Sea (the largest being the Archipelago Sea across the Baltic in Finland). Part of the archipelago has been designated as a Ramsar site since 1989. Haninge Municipality () is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. Its seat is located in Handen, a part of the Stockholm urban area. Haninge Municipality was formed in 1971 when ''Västerhaninge'' and ''Österhaninge'' were united. The municipal coat of arms depicts a capercaillie from which the name Haninge is believed to have been derived (the German word ''hahn'' means capercaillie), while the anchor symbolizes the naval base in the municipality. The 25 provinces of Sweden () are historical, geographical and cultural regions. They have no administrative function, but retain their own cultural identities, dialects and folklore. Utö, Sweden
Utö is a small island in the southwestern part of the Stockholm archipelago, known for its nature. Utö means "outer island" in Swedish. It is a part of Haninge Municipality. Geology Utö and the surrounding islands are unique from a geological point of view and attract many people all-year round.
