Kuwait SC
Kuwait Sports Club () is a Kuwaiti professional football club based in Kuwait City. Their football team has won Kuwait Premier League 19 times and has won over 50 trophies overall. The club plays in the Al Kuwait Sports Club Stadium located in Kaifan, which is the 5th largest stadium in Kuwait. It is the first Kuwaiti club to ever win an Asian title, having won the 2009 AFC Cup, 2012 AFC Cup and 2013 AFC Cup. History The club is also called ''Al Kuwait'' and ''Al Ameed''. Members of the club during the 1980s formed a part of the Kuwaiti national team which reached the 1982 FIFA World Cup. The second golden age for the club was in the 2000s, as they have been winning most of the league titles and participating in AFC Cup. In 2009, Kuwait won the first AFC Cup winning against Al-Karamah from Syria with the victory of 2–1. In 2011, they reached the AFC Cup final, but they lost against Nasaf Qarshi from Uzbekistan. Al Kuwait Sports Club Stadium
Kuwait Sports Club Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Kuwait City, Kuwait. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and hosts the home matches of Al Kuwait Kaifan. The stadium holds 12,350. This stadium had also hosted Kuwait's national team matches during the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification. The stadium has hosted the final matches of the Kuwait Emir Cup and Kuwait Crown Cup for the last 5 seasons. This stadium also hosted matches for the Kuwait national football team, national team during the 3rd Arabian Gulf Cup, where Kuwait won their third title after winning 4–0 against Saudi Arabia national football team, Saudi Arabia. 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup
The 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup, officially named the 2023 King Salman Club Cup () after Salman of Saudi Arabia, where the final tournament was hosted, was the 30th season of the Arab Club Champions Cup, the Arab world's club Association football, football tournament organised by Union of Arab Football Associations, UAFA. A total of 37 teams participated in the tournament, which started with preliminary and qualifying rounds, before the final tournament was held in Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2023 across four cities: Abha, Al Bahah, Khamis Mushait and Taif. A total of $10 million of prize money was awarded. The 2012–13 Kuwaiti Premier League season is the 51st since the league's establishment. The season starts on 14 September 2012 and ends on the 19 April 2013.
