José López (pitcher)
José Alexander López (born February 15, 1999) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Tampa Bay Rays. Career Tampa Bay Rays On October 28, 2016, López signed with the Tampa Bay Rays as an international free agent. He made his professional debut with the Dominican Summer League Rays in 2017, posting a 3.08 ERA in 15 games. López spent the 2018 season with the rookie–level Gulf Coast League Rays, recording a 2.27 ERA with 36 strikeouts across innings pitched. López spent the 2019 campaign with the rookie–level Princeton Rays, registering a 4–3 record and 2.54 ERA with 55 strikeouts over 12 starts. He did not play in a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Montgomery Biscuits are a Minor League Baseball team based in Montgomery, Alabama. They are the Double-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays and play in the Southern League. The team was founded in Orlando, Florida, in 1973 as the Orlando Twins, an affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. After remaining in the Minnesota minor league organization for 20 seasons, the team became an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs for four seasons and then the Seattle Mariners for one. The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) is a professional independent baseball league in the United States. It is an official MLB Partner League based in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States, and the headquarters are located at Penn Medicine Park in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Hagerstown Flying Boxcars are a professional baseball team that began play in 2024 in Hagerstown, Maryland. The Durham Bulls are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. They are located in Durham, North Carolina, and play their home games at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, which opened in 1995. Established as the Durham Tobacconists in the North Carolina League in 1902, the team subsequently disbanded and restarted numerous times.
