The Lake Country DockHounds are a professional baseball team that is based in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. The DockHounds currently play in the American Association of Professional Baseball, an official Partner League of Major League Baseball. Lake Country played their first season in 2022, as they became the first professional sports team in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, Waukesha County. History After years of research and developmental ideas, on March 3, 2020, Blue Ribbon Baseball, LLC finally received approval from the City of Oconomowoc. The DockHounds were granted permission to build a stadium and training facility in the Pabst farms, Pabst Farms development. Prior to its access, the DockHounds proposed two different Waukesha County locations in Pewaukee, Wisconsin and Waukesha, Wisconsin. Oconomowoc ( ) is a city in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. The name was derived from Coo-no-mo-wauk, the Potawatomi language, Potawatomi term for 'waterfall'. The population was 18,203 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. The city is partially adjacent to the Lac La Belle, Wisconsin, Village of Lac La Belle and near the village of Oconomowoc Lake, Wisconsin. Paul Wagner
Paul Alan Wagner (born November 14, 1967) is an American professional baseball coach and former pitcher who is currently the pitching coach for the Lake Country DockHounds of the American Association of Professional Baseball. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1992–1997), Milwaukee Brewers (1997–1998), and Cleveland Indians (1999). Amateur career Wagner attended Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. In 1987 he led the team with an ERA of 2.40, and was named to the All-MVC second team. David Wayne Nilsson (born 14 December 1969) is an Australian former professional baseball catcher and current manager of the Australia national baseball team and the Brisbane Bandits. Verona is a city in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 14,030 at the 2020 census. The city is located southwest of downtown Madison within the Town of Verona. Salvatore Leonard Bando (February 13, 1944 – January 20, 2023) was an American professional baseball player and general manager. He played in Major League Baseball as a third baseman from to , most prominently as the captain of the Oakland Athletics dynasty that won three consecutive World Series championships between 1972 and 1974. A four-time All-Star player, Bando averaged 23 home runs and 90 runs batted in over an eight-year span. Jarred Robert Kelenic ( ; born July 16, 1999) is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball (MLB).
