Jacek Bielczyk
Jacek Bielczyk (born 23 February 1953) is a Polish chess International Master (1979). Biography At the beginning of the 1970s, Jacek Bielczyk was the leading junior of the country, twice (in 1971 and 1972) winning the Polish Junior Chess Championship in U20 age group, and in 1973 - the title of vice-champion. In 1972–1973, he represented Poland at the European Junior Chess Championships in Groningen. In 1973 he won the junior chess tournament in Warsaw. He made his senior debut in the Polish Chess Championship final in 1975, taking 5th place in Poznań. In total, in the years 1975–1983, he took part in the final tournaments for the national championship nine times, achieving the best result in Zielona Góra in the 1982, when he took the 4th place. He is a three-time medalist of the Polish Blitz Chess Championship: silver (1975) and 2 bronze (1979, 1987). Jacek Banasiak FAAS (born 15 March 1959) is a Polish mathematician who is a Professor and South African Research Chair in Mathematical Models and Methods in Biosciences and Bioengineering at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Early life and education Jacek Banasiak was born on 15 March 1959 in Łódź, Poland. He obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Math from the Łódź University of Technology in 1981, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in mathematics on 15 March 1989 from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland. Jacek Bednarski
Jacek Bogusław Bednarski (12 March 1939 - 19 October 2008) was a Polish chess player and politician who won the Polish Chess Championship in 1963. He received the FIDE title of International Master (IM) in 1964. Chess career Bednarski became interested in chess at the age of eleven. He met with a professional chess training while studying Physics at the Moscow State University. After returning to the Poland Bednarski quickly became one of the leading Polish chess players and graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Jagiellonian University. Jacek Brzozowski is a Polish academician, public official and politician who is serving since December 2023 as the Voivode of Podlaskie Voivodeship. Biography In 2002, he graduated in history from the University of Białystok. He then became an employee of the Institute of History at this university. Jacek Bogdan Baluch (17 March 1940 – 3 July 2019) was a Polish scholar, writer, poet, translator and politician. Life Jacek Baluch was born on 17 March 1940 in Kraków. He studied Slavic philology at the Jagellonian University in Kraków and at Charles University in Prague. He was a Slavist, and in the first place a Bohemist. He took an M.A. in 1962, earned his doctor's degree in 1968 and obtained habilitation in 1982. Much later, in 2008, he was nominated a professor. He had a wife and three children.
