Jacek Brzozowski
Jacek Brzozowski is a Polish academician, public official and politician who is serving since December 2023 as the Voivode of Podlaskie Voivodeship. Biography In 2002, he graduated in history from the University of Białystok. He then became an employee of the Institute of History at this university. In 2012, at his alma mater, he obtained a PhD in humanities based on the thesis entitled ''Between Bydgoszcz and Lviv. Sigismund I and the crown nobility in the years 1520–1540''. In 2016, he completed postgraduate studies in international relations at the Polish Institute of International Affairs and in cultural diplomacy at Collegium Civitas in Warsaw. He became a member of one of the commissions of the Polish Historical Society and the Institute for Research on the Cultural Heritage of Europe. Łapy
Łapy is a town in north-eastern Poland, in Białystok County (''powiat''), Podlaskie Voivodeship; the administrative centre of the urban-rural gmina Łapy. It is situated in the North Podlasie Lowland, on the river Narew. According to data from 31 December 2010, the town had 16,049 inhabitants. Situated here are the bankrupt Railway Fleet Repair Works, a dairy, and the sugar refinery closed in February 2008. Tadeusz Truskolaski (born 10 April 1958, in Stare Kapice, Białystok County, Poland) is an economist and politician. A member of the Civic Platform ''(Platforma Obywatelska)'' party, he has been the president (mayor) of the Polish city of Białystok since 5 December 2006, succeeding Ryszard Tur of the Christian National Union. Since 2011 he is a member of the European Alliance Group at the European Committee of the Regions.
