Haukur Angantýsson
Haukur Angantýsson (2 December 1948 – 4 May 2012) was an Icelandic chess International Master. He was awarded the International Master title by FIDE in 1981. Haukur won the Icelandic Chess Championship in 1976. Graduating from Reykjavík High School in 1968, Haukur completed his studies in chemistry from Georg August Universität in Göttingen, Germany, in 1973. He took a ship's captain's certificate from Reykjavík Naval Academy in 1975. Haukur worked in various and very diverse jobs throughout his life, including research in the fields of chemistry, teaching, seafaring, both domestically and abroad, and net making. Haukur Ingi Guðnason (born 8 September 1978 in Keflavik) is a retired Icelandic footballer who formerly played for Grindavík. Club career Haukur Ingi began his career with Keflavík Football Club, before making a move to the renowned English club Liverpool in 1997. Despite spending three years at Anfield, he was unable to secure a spot in the first team and subsequently returned to Iceland in 2000. He had a loan spell at KR before rejoining Keflavik and later moving to Fylkir in 2003. Haukur remained with Fylkir until the end of 2008, at which point he rejoined his former club, Keflavík. Haukur Halldórsson (4 July 1937 – 30 July 2024) was an Icelandic artist and illustrator. After beginning his career as a graphic designer and illustrator he developed into a visual artist. Haukur Tómasson (born 9 January 1960) is an Icelandic composer. He has a master's degree from the University of California, San Diego. He has also attended the Reykjavík College of Music, the Hochschule für Musik Köln, Cologne University for Music and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Sweelinck Conservatory of Amsterdam. His works include six orchestral pieces, three concertos and the chamber opera ''Gudruns 4th Song'', for which he was awarded the 2004 Nordic Council Music Prize.
