Barcelona França Railway Station
(; ; "France Station") is a major railway station in the city of Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain. is the second busiest railway station of the city after Barcelona-Sants in terms of regional and long-distance ridership. It may lose this status, however, with the arrival of the AVE high-speed train in Sants and the construction of , planned for completion at the end of 2028, that will concentrate most of the traffic. History A railway station was first built here in the 19th century as the main terminus for trains arriving from France (as its name still suggests) but also for services to North East Catalonia and the Costa Brava. Rebuilt and reopened for the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition, the two monumental buildings that make up the station were designed by the architect Pedro Muguruza and inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII. Françoaldo Sena de Souza (born 2 March 1976), commonly known as França, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a striker. Club career França was born in Codó, Maranhão. After his senior beginnings with lowly Nacional Futebol Clube and Esporte Clube XV de Novembro (Jaú), he moved in 1996 to national powerhouse São Paulo FC, where he proceeded to net eight goals overall in his debut year – even though he did not start regularly – and 182 goals in 323 games during his six-year stay (fourth all-time at the time of his departure); in 1998 and 2000, as the club won the Campeonato Paulista, the player was crowned the league's best scorer, respectively at 12 and 18. In the 2002 summer, França signed with Bayer 04 Leverkusen from Germany as the team sought replacements for aging Ulf Kirsten (37). Joaquim José da França Júnior (March 18, 1838 – November 27, 1890) was a Brazilian playwright, journalist and, initially, a painter. Alongside Martins Pena, he is one of the most famous adepts of the "comedy of manners" genre. He is patron of the 12th chair of the Academia Brasileira de Letras, Brazilian Academy of Letters. Life França Júnior was born in Rio de Janeiro, in 1838, to Joaquim José da França and Mariana Inácia Vitovi Garção da França. He studied in the Colégio Pedro II (Rio de Janeiro), Colégio Pedro II and at the Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo. Graduating in 1862, he moves to Bahia, where he exerces his profession for some time. Returning to Rio de Janeiro in 1880, he entered at the Escola Nacional de Belas Artes, where he studied under guidance of Georg Grimm.
