''Cosmic Sex'' is a 2013 art-house independent Indian Bengali-language film written and directed by Amitabh Chakraborty and produced by Putul Mahmood. The film deals with the connection between sex and spirituality. Plot ''Cosmic Sex'' is the story of a young man Kripa who is on the run from sex and violence one night in Kolkata when he meets a woman Sadhavi who strangely resembles his dead mother. Osian's Cinefan Festival Of Asian And Arab Cinema
Osian's-Cinefan was one of Asia's leading film festivals devoted to Asian and Arab cinema, and was part of ''Osian's Film House Division''. The festival celebrated its 10th anniversary in July 2008. After a two-year break, the 12th staging of the festival took place in July 2012. It has been discontinued since. History Cinefan began in 1999 as an outgrowth of '' Cinemaya'', a quarterly Asian cinema magazine published in New Delhi since 1988. The festival was launched with 27 films presented by the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) and supported by the government of Delhi. Parallel cinema, or New Indian Cinema, is a film movement in Cinema of India, Indian cinema that originated in the state of West Bengal in the 1950s as an alternative to the mainstream commercial Indian cinema. Inspired by Italian Neorealism, Parallel Cinema began just before the French New Wave and Japanese New Wave, and was a precursor to the Indian New Wave of the 1960s.
