Kolkata, also known as Calcutta ( its official name until 2001), is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of West Bengal. Kolkata District
Kolkata district (formerly known as Calcutta district) is a district in the Indian States and union territories of India, state of West Bengal. It only contains the entire city proper of Kolkata, the capital city of the state and therefore it is a city district. It is the smallest district in the state and also the most densely populated district. The Kolkata Tram System, is a tram system that serves Kolkata, the capital city of the Indian States and union territories of India, state of West Bengal, operated by West Bengal Transport Corporation (WBTC) after Calcutta Tramways Company (CTC) was merged with WBTC. Being started in 1873 Kolkata tram is the second oldest operating tram network in the world after trams in Turin, Turin (1871). Firhad Hakim
Firhad Hakim (born 1 January 1959) is an Indian politician serving since 2018 as the 38th mayor of Kolkata. He is also the Cabinet Minister of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs and Housing in the Government of West Bengal. He is a MLA of the Trinamool Congress Party from Kolkata Port and a member of National Working Committee of All India Trinamool Congress. Hakim was elected to the West Bengal Legislative Assembly in 2009. Two years later, he became a cabinet minister in the Mamata Banerjee ministry. Eden Gardens is an international cricket stadium in Kolkata (Calcutta), India. Established in 1864, it is the oldest and second-largest cricket stadium in India and third-largest in the world. The 42 is a residential skyscraper in Kolkata, in the state of West Bengal, India. It is located on Chowringhee Road, the central business district of the city, between the commercial building of Tata Centre and the residential building of Jeevan Sudha.
