Ann Grete Nørgaard
Ann Grete Nørgaard Østerballe (born 15 September 1983) is a Danish former professional handballer. She represented the Denmark women's national team, and has been called one the best Danish wing players of all time. Career Viborg HK Nørgaard started playing handball in 1992 at Søndermarken IK. At the age of 17 she joined Viborg HK. Early in her career, it was difficult to find playing time as the Danish national team player Henriette Mikkelsen was the undisputed first choice. In the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons she was loaned out to the Danish First Division team Skive fH, which at the time acted as a satellite team to Viborg HK. Randers HK In 2006, after returning from the second loan she left Viborg HK, and joined league rivals Randers HK. In 2007 she extended her contract with Randers until 2010. 1st Division is the name of the second highest handball league for both genders. The top-ranking teams each wins Promotion and relegation, promotion to Danish Women's Handball League, Damehåndboldligaen and Danish Handball League, while the bottom finishers get Promotion and relegation, relegated to the Danish 2nd Divisions. Kristina Kristiansen
Kristina "Mulle" Kristiansen (born 13 July 1989) is a Danish handball player for Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub and the Danish national team. At the 2013 World Championship, she was a part of the Danish team that won bronze medals, breaking a 9 year streak without medals for the Danish team. They beat Poland 30-26. In March 2015 it was announced that she joined Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub from the 2016-17 season. The this signaled that the team, which had just been promoted two year prior and barely survived relegation, would ramp up investment. The move sparked public interest in the, at the time, relatively obscure team. The following season they had the highest viewership numbers in the Danish handball league, men's or women's. Lærke Nolsøe
Lærke Nolsøe Pedersen (born 19 February 1996) is a Danish handball player for Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub and the Danish national team. She represented Denmark at the 2019 World Women's Handball Championship in Japan and the 2021 World Women's Handball Championship in Spain. In the latter she won a bronze medal with the Denmark team. Club career Nolsøe started her career at TTH Holstebro, before switching to Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub in 2016. It was the move of former TTH coach Niels Agesen that motivated her move to the South Danish club. With NFH she won the Danish Championship in her first season. This was the first national championship in club history. In 2021 she switched to Viborg HK, where she won silver medals in the EHF European League in her first season. TTH Holstebro is a men's handball club from Holstebro, Denmark. The team is playing in the Danish Primo Tours Ligaen and play their home matches in Gråkjær Arena. History The club was founded on 1 May 2000, when Holstebro Håndbold 90 and Tvis KFUM merged their first teams to create the new club. In 2002 disagreements between HH90 and Tvis KFUM nearly let to the dissolvement of the club. A general assemply was called to dissilve the club, but an agreement between the two founding clubs was found last minute, which separated the elite team as its own legal entity. In 2008 the club won their first ever trophy, when they won the Danish Men's Handball Cup. In 2016 the club changed the name from 'Team Tvis Holstebro' to 'TTH Holstebro'. The EHF Champions League is the most important club handball competition for men's teams in Europe and involves the leading teams from the top European nations. The competition is organised every year by EHF. The official name for the men's competition is the EHF Champions League Men. The EHF coefficient rank decides which teams have access and in which stage they enter. Eligibility and qualifying Each year, the EHF publishes a ranking list of its member federations. The Kvindeligaen () is the top professional league for Danish women's handball clubs. It is administered by the Danish Handball Federation, and the winners are recognized as Danish champions. Gitte Aaen (born 7 November 1981) is a Danish former handballer. She won the Champions League with Viborg in 2009 and 2010. Career She started playing Handball at the age of 5 at Strandby/Elling IF, before switching to Frederikshavn fI. While playing in Frederikshavn, she took an education as a nurse. At the age of 20 in 2006 she switched to Viborg HK, one of the most successful clubs in Denmark. She had an initial contract of 3 years, which was extended only a year after by an additional year. With Viborg HK she won the EHF Champions League twice in 2009 and 2010 as well as the Danish League 3 times. In the Spring of 2010, she was informed that her contract would not be extended past 2010, so she signed with the Austrian club Hypo Niederösterreich.
