2022–23 Milwaukee Bucks Season
The 2022–23 Milwaukee Bucks season was the 55th season for the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). On August 17, 2022, the NBA announced that the regular season for the league would begin October 18, 2022 and end on April 9, 2023. They won their fifth straight central division championship on March 28, 2023, after winning over the Detroit Pistons. With a final record of 58–24, the Bucks finished the regular season as the best record in the league for the third time in the past five seasons, and won the inaugural edition of the new Maurice Podoloff Trophy. Despite this, the Bucks were upset by the 8-seeded and eventual Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs in five games, becoming the sixth 1-seed in league history to lose a playoff series against an 8-seed following the Seattle SuperSonics in 1994, the Miami Heat in 1999, the Dallas Mavericks in 2007, the San Antonio Spurs in 2011, and the Chicago Bulls in 2012. Mike Budenholzer
Michael Vincent Budenholzer (born August 6, 1969) is an American professional basketball coach who most recently served as the head coach of the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Budenholzer previously head coached the Milwaukee Bucks for five seasons, from 2018 to 2023, winning an NBA title in the 2020–21 NBA season. He also spent five seasons as head coach of the Atlanta Hawks and 19 seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, serving as an alternate video coordinator for the first two seasons and then as an assistant coach behind head coach Gregg Popovich. MarJon Beauchamp ( ; born October 12, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA), on a two-way contract with the Westchester Knicks of the NBA G League. Leroy Jevon Carter ( ; born September 14, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Jordan Ifeanyi Nwora ( ; born September 9, 1998) is a Nigerian-American professional basketball player who play for Crvena zvezda of the ABA League and the EuroLeague. He played college basketball for the Louisville Cardinals. He plays internationally for the Nigeria men's national basketball team.
