MarJon Beauchamp
MarJon Beauchamp ( ; born October 12, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA), on a two-way contract with the Westchester Knicks of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Yakima Valley Yaks. High school career Entering high school, Beauchamp moved from his hometown of Yakima, Washington, to Seattle to play basketball at Nathan Hale High School under head coach Brandon Roy and to face stronger competition. As a freshman, he was a deep reserve for a team that featured top recruits Michael Porter Jr. and Jontay Porter. 2024–25 NBA G League Season
The 2024–25 NBA G League season was the 24th season of the NBA G League, the minor league basketball league of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The season consists of each team playing 16 Tip–Off Tournament games starting November 8, followed by the top eight teams playing in the Winter Showcase, which is then followed by 34 regular-season games for each team starting December 27. The Winter Showcase concluded on December 22 with the Westchester Knicks defeating the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the final. Jontay Porter
Jontay Porter ( ; born November 15, 1999) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Missouri Tigers men's basketball, Missouri Tigers where he played alongside his older brother, Michael Porter Jr. He was awarded as the Southeastern Conference Sixth Man of the Year during his freshman season. He was an early entrant in the 2019 NBA draft but went unselected. Porter started his professional career in 2020 on a two-way contract with the Memphis Grizzlies and spent time with their NBA G League affiliate Memphis Hustle. Michael Lamar Porter Jr. (born June 29, 1998), also known as "MPJ", is an American professional basketball player for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Missouri Tigers. Porter was ranked as one of the top prospects in the class of 2017. Brandon Roy
Brandon Dawayne Roy Sr. (born July 23, 1984) is an American basketball coach and former player. He serves as the head coach of the boys' basketball team at Garfield High School in Seattle. Roy played six seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Portland Trail Blazers and Minnesota Timberwolves. He was selected sixth in the 2006 NBA draft, having completed four years playing for the Washington Huskies. Two-way Contract
A two-way contract is a professional sports contract that stipulates that an athlete's salary is dependent upon the league in which the athlete is assigned to play. This is opposed to a one-way contract that would pay the same salary regardless of where the athlete is assigned to play.
